your video is very much a disgrace. especially with your comment at the end
It would seem that your statement "Maybe you should go out dancing and have a drink rather than sit home and watch youtube videos" shows how very very very uninformed you guys are at the impact such videos make.
For example I am a chef d cusine' and I personally do much more than sit and watch youtube videos. I am the corp food sponsor for our cities Relay for Life.
Yep, positivism in healing has been quantified by many integrative doctors and other research. If one has a negative attitude it is impact the healing and the patients ability to trust in the process. Yes, everyone is involved from the janitors to administrators, so it really makes one feel that we are all in this together. Also, that fact that men are also included. Many people don't know that men are affected also. So thanks for pointing that out. Very inclusive video.
In the absence of having any direct experience taking care of patients with cancer or of supporting families effected by a devastating cancer, these college students do not get the point of joy & awareness. They should be focusing on becoming meaningful productive members of the community they will be cast upon after graduation.
Criticism is both negative and positive. I think you guys did a pretty good job of analysis and I am wishing that YouTube and the Internet was available to me when I had to wade through a Rhet Crit class in college in the early '90's.
Hey kids....I responded several months ago and opted to watch it again and just want to say again you did an impressive job with your research, analysis and conclusion. I'm a nurse and we practice by evidence based research...so I truly appreciate your project. Ignore the comments from those not educated enough to understand your intent with this project. Considering the video has gone global it's apparent positivism played a large role! Kudos kids! ! ! :)
I will say this.. I am Stage IV Breast Cancer, with it in my bones, my lymph nodes and liver. When EVER I am having a down day (AND UNTIL ANY ONE OF YOU COLLEGE STUDENTS WHO ARE SO QUICK TO DECIDE THE EFFECT OF THIS ARE IN MY SHOES) I put this video on to lift my spirits. FOR THAT IT WAS EFFECTIVE!!!
Props to those people who "watched" your video long enough to feel comfortable trashing it. I actually think it was an interesting piece of research packed into a mere 7 minute presentation. The theory came off a bit unclear, but I appreciated the analysis and think you shed some helpful light into why and how videos like Pink Glove can actually be infuential--an important bit of knowledge for people interested in affecting their world. Constructively. Good work putting yourselves out there.
Aside from reading big words not used in any of your every day lives you've proved nothing in this assignment.Try choosing a subject that needs rhetorical criticism.Anything positve that was said was lost in the stuttering & faultering in almost everyones speech.
Hi, I understand this was a class assignment, to critique and find a deeper meaning...but anyone who watches the "Pink Glove Dance" and gets a tear in their eye truely knows the deeper meaning of this video. No need for a college class to tell us why...problems today get critiqued too much, sometimes a show of support is what is really needed. Also anibreslin your comment to peoples opinions was a little childish, sorry I had to critique that.
Oh wait..Community College...answers SO many questions. A lot of people are going to take the title of your video badly and go no further. The things you say aren't the problem, it's the way you present the video. Also, before posting on youtube next time you REALLY need to work on speaking more fluidly. It's hard to follow what you're saying when you keep stuttering and stamering.
Hi, sorry you guys dislike the video. It was an in class assignment from our Rhetorical Criticism teacher to critique the video and find a deeper meaning.. The hope found during a tradegy or crisis...and portray the meaning of hope to others. I find it strange that you took the time to watch and comment on how lame we must be for posting this video when we could be out dancing and getting loose. Maybe you should go out dancing and have a drink rather than sit home and watch youtube videos.
Gee, you college kids don't have anything better to do than to pick apart and argue over a feel good video.....you thinkers need to go out, dance and let go and live....do you think like this all the time? Let go and live.....
Okay kids....good job. I was very hesitant to view your video because some of the responses to it had nothing to do with the Pink Glove Dance. I work art St. Vincents..and while not there for the video (had the dreaded H1N1 during the taping), I still smile and feel so much pride inside every time I watch it.
There was even a cancer patient in the video! So...I'm impressed and will ask Martie Moore (was on the news) the CNO to view it.
