Manatu meaning homesick....i am first generation NZ born polynesian....it was my grandpa and grandma who made that first move from theyre home lands of the pacific to start anew here in the 70s ,they have passed on beyond the shores of the living now...but this song makes me wonder how they must have felt in a new land being far away from home surrounded by a strangers language and for those of us whose parents generation worked hard in those forests and factory jobs to get things started.
