  • For those that still love this game, you can buy it on PSN or XBLA for only $5! It includes both soundtracks!

  • i love sonic cd

  • oh god the jap version anyway anybody know where to play this online

  • why didn't sonic talk in three if he talked a bit in this?

  • maybe eggman ripped his vocal cord out and sonic had to regrow it

  • @soniplushie He got lazy...?

  • This was before Sonic 3.

  • I just completed the US version of the game. When the uploads are done, I shall post my videos as responses to yours. :D

  • SEGA needs to get their heads out of their buttholes and make sonic game like this: Sonic CD + Sonic 3 & Knuckles + Sonic Adventure. They should have the moves of Sonic Cd, like the super peel out and spindash, the length and addictive gameplay of S3&K and the chao and characters of SA (Though Big and Gamma should be changed to Rouge and Shadow.)

  • I know that. I just wanted to beat him normally.

  • when did this game come out it was to blure to see and title screen

  • It came out in 1993.

  • what is the different between the gems collection and the original cd version?

is it that big?and is the anime scenes better in the gems collection?

    just asking of course

  • The Gems Collection version has the US soundtrack, and the Mega CD versions have the original Japanese soundtrack. The American Sega CD version has the US soundtrack like the Gems collection version. And by "big", it's the same game, but the Gems Collection version has much faster load times and the Special Stages are a bit faster. (The Gems Collection version is also an emulation of the PC version) And yes, the anime cutscenes are better in the Gems Collection version.

  • so in other word the gems collection are much improved..but if am a sonic hardcore fan i would still get the japanese version still the gems collection is a good choice sega has made

    thanks dude

  • @RockmanKenny actually, the gems collection has both soundtracks. you have to switch your language settings on your ps2 and you can get the japanese soundtrack

  • isnt amy supposed to follow you in one of the levels

  • Yes, but you have to be in the Present at the end of Act 1 for Amy to follow you.

  • Man, but I loved Palmtree Panic's Bad Future track. :(

  • Wow, this is fantastic, I've never seen the Jap version of Sonic CD before, and seeing a portion of the MEGA CD start up is thrilling as well.

  • Love this game. Do you like the Japanese version of the game better that the US version by any chance?

  • Yeah I do. ^^

  • ♪Toot Toot Sonic Warrior♪ that song never gets old!

  • ♪Toot Toot Sonic Warrior, deep in space and time!♪

♪Toot Toot Sonic Warrior, forever in your mind!♪

♪Nothing can survive the will to stay alive♪

♪'Cause if you try, you can do anything!!!!!♪

  • What do you mean by get an Xbox 360 or PS3? Those are kinda overrated too. :P

  • You're a cpmplete dumbass. You're basically saying "Graphics make a game so get an Xbox 360 or a PS3". Fuck that. Get a Megadrive or a SNES. 16-bit games beat the shit out of anything because the games are FUN.

  • Yeah I agree, 16-Bit era ftw.

  • @jacksprat1990 amen to that i feel that its been a great honour to grow up with 2d games now to 3d games shame many young people don't appreciate it

  • @jacksprat1990 Some games that have graphics are fun. But seriously, for most games, you're right!

  • Hey Kenny, what did you think of the special stages in Sonic CD?

  • I like them. I can take a long time to finish them, though.

  • Some of them were easy, but some of them were annoying though.

  • RockmanKenny are those time stones chaos emeralds? cause the look like them.

  • They're not Chaos Emeralds. The Time Stones are completely different gems.

  • I've refused to like the American version. I've originally played the Japanese version imported when I was little. When I got the Gems Collection (American of course), I was disappointed and confused as to why the soundtrack was different. The Japanese soundtrack is always my favorite.

  • Amen to that. I never understood why they may two different versions of the soundtrack. Just a big waste of money. It's frickin' retarded.

  • Some people believe it's copyright issues.

Besides, the US version is pretty sweet!

  • @troysson81 Yeah, those suckers at Sega didn't want to get sued to death (the boss theme had sampling)!

  • can someone tell me how to play sega cd games on fusion!!??

  • There is a tutorial on YouTube on how to play Sega CD games on Fusion.

  • I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First Sonic game I ever played, and still the best by far.

  • I'm probably one of the small minority of people who prefers the USA soundtrack over the Jap/Euro soundtrack.

  • Yep :P

  • I don't know why I prefer US. Maybe one reason I like Sonic Boom =D

  • The US version's all right but I still prefer the Japanese version.

  • And I'm one of them. Boom, sonic boom, sonic boom! YEAH! :)

  • Trouble keeps you running faster! ♪ ♪

  • what do time stones do

  • Well according to the Sonic CD manual they alter time and change everything around the Little Planet.

  • Wow thanks for answering :)
