  • Chocolate covered garlic cloves are the real travesty here

  • Look for Grown Locally label.

  • Chocolate covered garlic...eww!

  • On July 15, 2008 the Government of Canada announced the new labelling "Under the guidelines when the label claim Product of Canada is applied, all or virtually all of the significant ingredients, components, processing and labour used in the food product must be Canadian. Food products claiming Product of Canada must contain very little or no foreign content, with the exception of minor food additives, spices, vitamins, minerals and flavouring preparations."

  • Haha, "no name" is shit.

  • hey at least mr weston is using crap from china

  • Wendy is hot... and informative. :)

  • yeh true its globalization but fuck mr weston and his superstore frickin liar i gonna start shopping a wal mart supercenter and gonna save a bundle for the same or better products

  • This lady is pretty desperate for stories. She's Obviously never heard of GLOBALIZATION

  • 9:10 ... did she just say shit?

  • @oakaleafy

... in jars like this yet, because ...

  • @oakaleafy well wendy says fish dicks lol

  • Watching all those "Product of Canada" commercials with Galen Weston and then seeing this, I feel like some advertising standards are not being met...or at the very least Loblaws corporate integrity is put into question.

  • Personally I look for food that comes from a European country.

  • The garlic is from China.

There's a show from New Zealand called "Whats Really In Our Food" and they did a segment on one show about this very thing.

No surprise, the Kiwi grown garlic was much better in taste, and appearence.

  • Yes Canada should make the same version of "What's Really in Our Food."

I am getting tired of Aspartame, High Fructose Corn Syrup, and Hydrogenated Oil. I found out that I ate too much processed food.

  • I like the topics that this show covers... But they need to drop the patronizing act with the shopping cart and what not =|... it's kind of annoying

  • It's no wonder Canada imports more than it exports. Even if Canadians want to support their own country they know they are being deceived so they can't do so. May as well support out of country products.

  • How is this not considered insane? Why isn't the government passing laws so there is a grade system from 100% all Canadian to lower grades like 51% Canadian. I want Canadian to mean 100%, not 51% of anything! A Canadian product is a Canadian product, not something made by Canadians with other countries ingredients, like flour, yeast, sugars, etc. This is so slimy, I'll never shop at their stores again, or buy those brands... it's time to put my money where my mouth is!

  • @bragladish What about CBC...how Canadian is CBC...what %

  • how r we to keep our economy going when we by canadian products that turn out not only not to b candian BUT that could b harmful, i guess we have to buy fresh/local stuff n not canned, bottled or battered crap. or grow ur own.

definatly false advertising, sounding LIKE but not actually IS.

  • We have been fed garbage by under developed countries where they are using banned poisons all created by idiots in Ottawa

  • Please Give me a break!

I do like your show but when Canadian Farmers are going bankrupt and must sell their equipment, because they can not get a loan to buy seeds to plant to grow food

You do not need look in a store!

The food costs are high and go up every day, and will keep going cause Banks make money on NON-FARMED LAND by investing in Union food production! Money made supply and demand don't plant and drive price up? Un farmed bank land makes money but planting seeds loses money returns

  • It says products of Canada. Not ingredients of Canada. We can't nesesarily meet the demands.

  • Sanjay sucks

  • If it's so difficult for Wendy Mesley to get a straight answer from Loblaw, I guess low-profile Canadians don't stand a chance in getting info from the retail giant.

  • Hmm so basically I have been kicked in the balls all my life?

Gotta love this show though, they will do anything to find the answers. No doubt my favourite show.

  • Don't touch frozen chicken tenders, imported and coated in Canada and labeled Product of Canada(PoC). Same for all Captain Highliner; marked PoC and fish is grown in pens with chemicals so they gain weight(not legal in Canada), from China. These regulations are screwing us. Time for some consumer pressure.

  • this is scarry.

All packaged food should come with labels that say the ingredients, nutrient value, GM or not, and a pie chart that breaks down where the product comes from and is processed

  • Duped in Canada since 1985!
