i still feel the biggest problem in all commercial aircraft at the moment is the air quality. the air quality seems like garbage. I'm convinced i have been left with saw skin after flying on the 777 and i think there is petrol fume contamination in the cabin even if only slightly. the boeing 787 should be interesting to see as the air is generated electronicaly so it will not be bled from the engines.

You are wrong about the brakes, though. An airplane HAS to be capable of stopping with brakes and spoilers only. Thrust reverse is very effective and the fact that it's not required provides a significant safety margin.

Just a spoilers and flaps test. The flaps are set at 10-15 degrees to increase lift on the plane to get it to leave the ground.
