Turtle Beach PX21 Review / Why They Break So Fast

what you said is nothing wrong with mine, its the joints where it twists. its connected by pretty much nothing and they just come apart so easy. one of the joint broke about 6 months ago and i glued and taped it in place but then this morning they other one breaks -.-

I dropped my x11s from about 4 ft up, and the mic went out. I opened up the headset and checked all the connections, they are all good, any ideas on why the mic wouldn't work? Is it dead? Should I check any other wires like inside the volume control box?

thats why the box has a clip on it, bc if ur just lettin it hang there its oretty damn heavy for wires. so itl tug on em.i use the clip and hadnt had a problem what so ever

worst brand ever had the p11s and they broke and then payed fukin 150 4 the px3's was really careful the they broke, i couldnt chat!!!!!!! the way they are made in shit detail!!! dont get them go for the sony wireless 7.1 or the trittons. hope i helped

my brother stepped on my px21 and they broke and then i glued it back together and it stopped working..... then i got a p11 and the audio just got fked up.... i can hear but the left ear isnt working.... i can only hear the chat but not the game

To I went through 3 sets of those turtle beach pieces of shit finally broke down and bought a set of Logitech gaming headphones cost bout 200 but have had no problem there wireless and have same chat and game volume adjustments way better worth the price

Obsolete video. These are first gen px21's as you can see by the gloss look they have. The new models have a matte finish and corrected this problem.

Dude, this headset is so bad... It may have decent sound quality and mic, but face it, they are flimsy as fuck. The swivel earpieces are useless and weak, and every person that I have spoken to, who has owned this headset, has had one of the speakers stop working. And the constant high tone and fuzzing when you turn the volume up is sad. They literally last from 3-6 months.

Honestly, $130 too much.

proly cuz yall are retarted. ive had mine for months with no problem, and if u hear buzzing in 1 ear then go check ur connections on the back of ur television. u proly got it hooked up wrong.

@montrealstar32 Thats a good question . I dont know of any under 300$ that are good and reliable , however I will be doing a review of the new wireless 99$ sony playstation gaming headsets . Maybe those will be the answer we are looking for .

Man J, I have owned three px21's and it's the same thing everytime. Somehow the wiring gets jarred even after being as careful as I possibly can after each new pair. And you're right it does have to do with the wiring inside that little casing. Luckily Ive had a warranty this entire time. Basically these headphones are garbage. Put it this way, I've had Sony Studio Monitors for 5 years until they stopped working. These pieces of crap can't make it past two months.

Trittons break very easily as well, check out the reviews if u dont believe me, astro a40's, or the new razor tiamat that has true 7.1 surround sound ! I just hope they will work with ps3

Who the fuck uses Turtle beach? Turtle beach is ASS with their stereo headsets. The only headset that's good that's actually worth the money is the Tritton AX 720's. They cost $130 but the sound, durability and customer service tritton provides are top notch. Just as good as Astro's, if not better AND it's half the price.
