I was at the first game on April 8, 1969. Been a fan ever since. I can't believe Colbert, Kirby, Cannizaro, and Gaston (a write-in all-star candidate for hitting .308 at the break) aren't among these. Garvey had the Padres greatest single moment in '84.

I cannot believe Nate Colbert and Clay Kirby are not in there, they were the only bright spots for a while in the clubs beginning. Garvey should be there although he played for us briefly, he gave us the franchise's most memorable moment. Marcus Giles doesn't belong there, he is only a .230 hitter, or at least not yet. He needs to prove himself, isn't he on the bench now?
