That's completely wrong. This war will be fought for Israel. Neocons (mostly jewish zionists) pushed us into the Iraq war and now they are pushing for war with Iran.
Then there's the fact that 911 was a mossad/Israeli false flag operation. Missing Links proves that.
Bush is creating the North American Union in secret this will be completed by 2010-11. The Constitution as we know it will change. For more information google North American Union or Youtube it.

Elect some gutsy politicians who will put in place the Solar-Electric economy for which the technology is here right now!! They will need courage and vision, vested interests from Big Oil are huge and control most of the mainstream media. It is no accident Bush, Cheney and Condi are Oilmen and women.
oil was a contributing factor to WWII, it was not the sole root cause so its quite hard to defend a statement like that. There were other very important reasons for that war that had nothing to do with oil.
it was about japan wanting to create an economical centre all around south east asia by invading all the countries that supplied raw materials. and the american fleet was the only thing that could stand in there way.
Did you watch the promo? When Roosevelt enacted the embargo the Japanese had less than three months supply of oil. The Dutch East Indies was a Royal Dutch Shell development and when the U.S. embargoed the oil the workers at the DEI oil fields began blowing up the wellheads. Don't take my word for it read Daniel Yergins "The Prize" a Pulitzer winning history of oil. Dr. Klare puts it pretty clearly in the promo why the Japanese attacked the Pacific fleet.
...And then of course, to top it all off, we have the problem of carbon dioxide being sucked completely out of our atmosphere by algae, plants and plankton if we cease pouring all those greenhouse gases into the atmosphere the way only our grubby man-made factories can.
Wake up, instead of clinging to a new solar cell that will revolutionize pv we need to realize we can do with less.buy less, use less, yes even work less for the giant global corporations Don't want to be owned?clear your debt! want less.its something you don't have to wait for politicians to pass a law about. Educate yourself, prepare to change your paradigm. We can be change.Quit needless driving and consumption, quit lining the pockets of the ceo's.
The next war will be even more bloodier than all previous wars. There will be thousands of nukes going off around the globe. Yes even within the US. Russia and China have ICBMs that can reach in every major city within the USA.
ulta deep oil production in russia, So ultimately when domestic demand grew too fast, or cash reserves were finally depleted, America would either be obliged to halve its own use of gasoline, or steal it from someone else by force. Halving gasoline usage was out of the question, so instead of building hundreds of ultra-deep drilling rigs, Wall Street squandered the cash building more aircraft carriers, with the desperate objective of attacking and permanently occupying the Middle East.
To build and maintain nuclear reactors, a mass industrial economy based on oil is still needed, and its too late anyway. Renewables are a joke. Technology needs energy. The higher the complexity, the more energy is needed. No, human beings will not find a "better way."
Al contraire! There are lots of alternatives. There is a new solar tower energy plant being installed in Texas. Check out the new solar cars. Do a little googling, for earth's sake!
I did quite a bit of "googling" and the picture I got was quite different from yours. Perhaps you are being drawn to different sites because you want to maintain your optimism. In that case, be careful not to look too deeply into this issue.
I can't get the link to post. But Purdue University has written about a new portable generator that turns trash into electricity. Ward County, Texas is installing a solar energy tower. There are new wind turbines that are very affordable and compact. The new sun cube is being released this year as an affordable alternative to solar panels. Look it up!
No combination of alternatives will ever produce anything more than a small fraction of what cheap oil has been. This resource is uncomparable to anything, in its versatility, portability, and energy density. You are looking at this issue through rosy-colored glasses. Denial is always the first step. How long have you been following the issue of Peak Oil?
I guess 2-3 years now. I'm a member of a Peak Oil Progressives group as well as a Renewable Energy Group. Please google the solar tower in Ward County, Texas, the sun cube from Austrailia and the new wind turbine that is incredibly affordable and operates on a small amount of velocity. We needed to get rid of oil pollution anyhow.
The pollution will get worse. China is building a coal plant per week. A Texas energy company aired an absurd commercial saying coal power is clean. The US military is sitting in the middle east, trying to hold on to the last oil scraps. Solar panels and sun ovens won't get us out of this mess. Do you see the freeways becoming full of electric/solar cars? What about all the other things that oil provides. The whole 20th century was basically built on cheap oil.
Agreed. We have stopped the coal power plants that were to be built in Texas by massive protests and letter writing to our legislators. Conservation is a large part of stopping the pollution and conserving petroleum. If everyone would switch their light bulbs from incandescent to compact fluorescent, they would lower their energy bill by 50% (Fact) and lower the pollution, world wide by a large percentage as well.
Are you by any chance being paid by the DHS "digital outreach" team? They go around leaving messages on forums and so on, to try to counter-act certain trends in public opinion. On the subject of electric cars, it still takes oil to make them. Replacing the current fleet of cars in the US alone would take decades. It takes oil to make a computer or just about anything.
Yes. I am paid to promote alternative energy. Hello.
Chee Chee, since we are at a tipping point, I am an activist who is looking for alternatives. What are you doing about it? Trying to decide between sleeping pills and jumping?
I'd never off myself because of Peak Oil. These are interesting times. We are lucky to be witnessing such a climax in human history. Albert Camus said, even if you are in hell, you still have the privilege of observing what is happening in it. It is too fascinating too look away. Peak Oil is just one symptom of a larger catastrophe. Alternative energy just means rearranging the chairs on the titanic.
Every hour a species goes extinct. The oceans are dying. The climate is getting all messed up. An island dissappeared beneath the water. Countries are building more nukes. Resource depletion. Resource wars. Overpopulation. Bacteria resisting antibiotics. Depression is an epidemic. These are all connected. I still think you underestimate the importance of oil. We cant just unplug everything off oil and plug it into something else.
I prefer to look for solutions. And since I grew up with the Amish, it might not frighten me as much. I'm working on making my enviornment sustainable. It's exciting. I don't underestimate the importance of oil. Oil feeds my family. However, I must continue to feed them after the oil is gone. So I am educating myself on the alternatives.
Whats macabre is what man has done to man, and to the biosphere (especially in the 20th century). The curent century will no doubt be worse, because we are on an insane path. We cannot solve anything with the same mindset that caused the problems. But I think its too late anyway; there's too much momentum. I do not blame "human nature," but the institutions which have shaped the way people think and behave... Nonetheless, good luck with your project.
Normally I do not believe in "doom and gloom" scenario´s, I am still quit positive in that human beings find a better way, but this Oil wave, I am afraid, is not going to stop in a friendly way. Nobody likes a shift of power, but this is already happening in the world, so more Oil wars will happen in this century, Iraq is not the last one. In the end, there will be a new way forward, but hopefully not too many lives will be lost before the world finds this way.
I think they are just showing how important a role oil played in germany's war strategy. Which was of course quite major. Read yergins "The Prize" and see just how important it was.
How cool! No end of the world doom and gloom here just a sober look at our relationship to oil and what government is willing to do to ensure a secure supply.
No doom and gloom? Read between the lines. Clue: 65 million dead in WWII. And back then there was 80 years of cheap, easy-to-access oil left in the ground.
No doom and gloom? Well in truth...Pretty doom and gloomy. However "No end of the world" doom and gloom is what I was saying specificly. I think this promo is more of a warning and less of a premonition.
so this promo was 5 years ago. where can i watch this in it's entirety?
