@Hochichin hmmm, it goes for Xena, but also Rome, the track "Cleopatra Seduces Caesar" or "Death of Pompey" are some pretty awesome tracks

The music brings me to a different place. Familiar, but different. The senses are exotic and the drums beat dramatically. Ambiance follows; the cold winds blow and all changes seem to fade. Slowly dissipating, but a sound I heard not long ago; the drums again, beat faster and faster, until darkness. Only the sound of the loud drums, reverberating throughout, echoing, it drives me. Love is not only in the eyes, but all senses.

Sounds like a Doudouk (double reed) playing the main melody line at the start- don't hear those too often in the west (outside a Peter Gabriel album)... nice.

A lot of music sounds similar. Unless you invent a new chord or note, you inevitably will get similarities. Sounding alike & even borrowing a melody doesn't make a song the same as another.

I don't mean this insultingly, but the GoT soundtrack really does sound a lot like Battlestar Galactica. It wasn't as noticeable on the actual show, but when you listen to it on its own it sounds nearly identical in some places. I think it was track three, but it sounds very similar to apiece of music on the season 2 BSG soundtrack I own. o.o
