OMG...She came to my church WAAAAYYY back in like '92 or '93 for my Pastor's/Uncle's Anniversary and sang "I must tell Jesus" while playing the organ....I'll never forget that Sunday...PLUS: before her solo, during P&W("Devotionals" was what is was called back then) she killed like 3 congregational songs!! I was beat to hear her solo after the samplings!!!

Actually, when a singer moves up an octave (from middle C to a high C), it's called a TRANSPOSITION. A modulation would be a half, third or whole step(i.e: C to C sharp; E flat to E, etc.).

I cannot stop watching this video. This is one of the most beautiful songs ever written and Evang. Pennon sung it more beautifully than I had ever heard. I, too, became an instant fan back in the mid '90's when I fist saw her sing on Bobby Jones and I was still in high school. Evang. Pennon, THANK YOU so much for allowing God to use you. I have come to understand that a personal relationship with God is the only thing that gets you through.When you see so much in the church and around the church it can be disheartening.That's why it can't ever be about people but about God. Man will let you down because they are fallible. all have sinned and come short.But God is faithful. but in the end God will do the separating. My buck and shout is about God's faithfulness to me. Maybe she thought back on the things in her life that she knew she wouldnt have made it throught without the presence of God. Maybe she looked back on her family, friends, finances, health, education and decided to give God glory for who He is and what He is doing in her life. People get happy at football games and shout. But, the body of CHRIST (in general) can't be blamed for us not spending time in daily prayer, reading the Bible, and spending time with spiritually solid people who can and will sharpen us. An hour or two on Sunday doesn't even scratch the surface of our needs. We have to walk with GOD everyday. GOD can fill our lives but we have to make him part of our lives Monday through Saturday too!

This Blessed and Gifted Woman Of God, Blessed me just to hear her sing a hymn and not hold back. Her sense of direction and control was awesome. However, her witness was most effective because she meant everything she sang! I am better because I have witnessed God's Greatness In Another Saint of God!

i grew up in the third jurisdiction and remember hearing tina pennon and being touched by her anointed voice even before i understood what was happening. i would always look forward to hearing her at juris functions because her voice always ministers to me (i'm not going to even start on the few times i've heard her preach).

I cannot stop watching this video. This is one of the most beautiful songs ever written and Evang. Pennon sung it more beautifully than I had ever heard. I, too, became an instant fan back in the mid '90's when I fist saw her sing on Bobby Jones and I was still in high school. Evang. Pennon, THANK YOU so much for allowing God to use you. You are a blessing in more ways than you can ever imagine!

LOL I do hope I get to experience your ministry live someday soon, or that you come to the AIM convention next year (since it's going to be in TAMPA, FL!!!!!!!). Letme tell you LADY right here in London we watched that Bobby Jones show when Long Island Sound and yourself sang "First Loved me" I want you to know we WORE that tape OUT and i mean OUT! I recorded it onto a cassette tape and played it till it POPPED LOL
You sang with such conviction that served as inspiration for ages! God bless and keep singin!!

Oh man i can tell you i've listened from London over and over and over lol! I played 'He First Loved Me' till the cassette popped literally, you are my hero!!! lol Amaazing voice! Keep singin for the Lord! You voice is puzzling to listen to, it doesnt make vocal sense and im 'certainleh glad about it' lol lol lol PRaise Gawd! SAAANG TINA SAANG!!!

I have come to understand that a personal relationship with God is the only thing that gets you through.When you see so much in the church and around the church it can be disheartening.That's why it can't ever be about people but about God. Man will let you down because they are fallible. all have sinned and come short.But God is faithful. but in the end God will do the separating. My buck and shout is about God's faithfulness to me. May the presence of God fill your emptiness. Be blessed.

Maybe she thought back on the things in her life that she knew she wouldnt have made it throught without the presence of God. Maybe she looked back on her family, friends, finances, health, education and decided to give God glory for who He is and what He is doing in her life. People get happy at football games and shout. The words that the song says just makes you want to shout for He is the GREAT I AM!! THANK YOU BETTINA THIS IS WONDERFUL CONTINUE TO LET GOD USE YOU!!

KYLE0127... I understand what you are saying, to a degree. But, the body of CHRIST (in general) can't be blamed for us not spending time in daily prayer, reading the Bible, and spending time with spiritually solid people who can and will sharpen us. An hour or two on Sunday doesn't even scratch the surface of our needs. We have to walk with GOD everyday. GOD can fill our lives but we have to make him part of our lives Monday through Saturday too!

Wow!!! I remember her. Man, seeing this really took me back to a good place. I remember district meetings when she we come to our church (Philadelphia COGIC) and sing. Antone White was on the organ. We were just kids then. I got goose bumps when she sang back then. She's still got it!

This Blessed and Gifted Woman Of God, Blessed me just to hear her sing a hymn and not hold back. Her sense of direction and control was awesome. However, her witness was most effective because she meant everything she sang! I am better because I have witnessed God's Greatness In Another Saint of God!

i grew up in the third jurisdiction and remember hearing tina pennon and being touched by her anointed voice even before i understood what was happening. i would always look forward to hearing her at juris functions because her voice always ministers to me (i'm not going to even start on the few times i've heard her preach).
i am away at school and this brings me a little piece of home. if u have any other videos, please post them when you get a chance.

I remember the first time I heard her was on Bobby Jones and she sang a song with a group she had. And baby put it down. That was the 90's. I then heard her again on James Hall's CD. But prior to that I do remember her on Wright's projects! I love her tone!!!

Well I heard Bettina Pennon with the 'Long Island' Sound or something like that on the Bobby Jones show in the mid-1990's and she sang a song called "He First Loved me" Well that lady sang like it was her last time and killed us! Kirk jumped on the piano and Bettina adlibbed the mess out of us! Truly anointed..
