  • mahshaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaareeeeeee

  • bravo !!! excellent !!!

  • Hmmm 3:12 freeze it ... Only 3 strings on each ... special made santour?

  • @NasserHamedi There are 4 if you freeze it at 3:17.

  • @Ashkunx That one I know but if you freeze at 3:12 there is 3 string on each .. Those you tune with on the other side but these hold the string .. They are only 3

  • I just noticed that he has several "kharak" with only 3 strings on instead of 4 hahah

  • Wow Heart warming, listen to it over 100 times. Kourosh Jan you are an amazing musician. I am so greatful for Ahva and Tara to have an excellent, Brilliant gifted Ostad like you.

  • EXCELLENT

  • As ginatr1 wrote. BRILLIANT!

  • Brilliant!! Uplifts my mood every time!

  • Heartwarming virtuosity on the santour. The world needs to hear more of your beautiful music.

  • This is absolutely fantastic. He should tour with Hans Zimmer… I would definitely go to the show.

  • Super…He. Is. Amazing.

  • why are these hammered dulcimers so unheard of in the west?.it's like taking away a lot of the what i would see as the unnecessary complications of a piano. also i think this video is way over dramatic. i love the sound though. i want one so i can play around with different temperaments and tones.

  • this is up there with john tesh and yani. i would rank it right between those two all time masters of music.

  • I love it. Absolutely love it. This needs more than 10,000 views.

  • I love this music... simply the best.

  • Beautiful work Koruosh! I love the way you bring an ancient instrument into a contemporary context. The video looks great. I wish you much success.

  • Wonderful video. Mr. Zolani not only plays the music but he also incorporates his pholosophy and gives the music a deep human touch. Bravo

  • A true work of Art. Superb music directly coming from heart. Please continue to create these great pieces !

  • Great job Kourosh! It's wonderful to hear you again!

  • Great video. I took a class with Bruce too.

  • Yes, his students always remember him. Late Bruce Reich was such a great teacher. He trained many great composers such as Thomas and David Newman. I remember Kourosh played Santour in his memorial concert planned by his students at UCLA.

  • Wonderful job, Kourosh! I exactly know where Sangesar is and have friends and relatives from there. Being born in Semnan we would spend most summers in Sangsar and Shahmirzad.

I loved this piece. Way to go, hamvatan!

  • amazing. congratulations on a wonderful performance!

  • Does he have more pieces? I couldn't find any.

  • I have his two albums, Memoirs of Sangesar and Peaceful Planet. I bought them from Cdbaby online store. My friends downloaded them from iTunes

  • very nice video Kourosh!

  • Dear Kourosh: It is a great performance, great production and a great composition, in one word "Fabulous". I Wish you more and everlasting success and I am proud and very lucky to have the honor of being your student.

  • Looks like all the hard work paid off!

  • Fantastic by all means! I wish I was close to where you live so that I could get lessons from you. I can't get enough of the sound of your santoor. Brilliant!

    Peace!

  • AMAZING!! Beautiful composition and video. What a great piece. Ancient Persian instrument blends seamlessly with western music. A truly unique sound.

  • Great job.

  • greatttttttt Iran proud of you Kourosh

  • Fantastic!

  • Fabulous! Wow!

  • Transcendent music! Bravo Karoush, bravo.

  • A composition for the Ages....! Congratulations Maestro Kourosh.

The video is stellar and the composition has the sound of humanity itself. A Grammy to you sir!

  • I really enjoy the ebb and flow of this piece. It's a great juxtaposition of eastern and western composition chops, wonderful orchestration and masterful sequencing. Can't wait to hear more!

  • incredible job, ramin. I love it.

  • Awesome!!! :D

  • @iHappyGoLucky : It reminds me of the book "The Alchemist"

  • I love this music!!! I can listen to it a million times and still not get sick of it! Kourosh is the best!

  • It is full of passion and emotion. I can feel it with every particle of my body, with my soul. Kourosh you are just super awesome!

  • OMG! I love it! Does anyone know what the instrument is? The sound is SO unique.

  • @SusanPower1 The instrument is an Iranian Santour (also spelled Santoor). There are many musical pieces with this instrument on Youtube. For example, search for "Tamana Parviz Meshkatian santoor" on Youtube, I think you will like it.

  • Wow! Awesome! You are an amazing musician.

  • beautiful video!
