  • it is obviouse that some tibetants have benefited under communist rule and some did not. the ones who benefitted are party members and those who did not are living in india.

  • just a few points here, i can't help but make:

    this documentary refers to the CIA, and suggests every tibetan acting in the rebellion was like some brainless puppet doing the bidding of the CIA. A good documentary would also include include those resistance fighters, but they are not here...

    also, this video says the liberation of tibet was a great moment in the world's human rights movement. yet the chinese government also says the idea of human rights is a western tool and unnecessary.

    corruption is more than rampant; it's the glue that binds the machinery of govt together.

    there is no functional independent judiciary. beijing closed yitong, china's most influential human rights law firm and disbarred 21 human rights lawyers.
