i can get that only few people can get it and appreciate it (not meant in an arrogant way, it's just that kind of movie). personally i feel it's positive that people do make and fund this type of cinematographic projects. it has a great historic and research value.
another great use is this gem projected on walls at breakcore, industrial, powernoise or noisescape concerts/parties :-p absolute killer
btw: not the best excerpt of the movie this one :-/
i found this this really interesting and totally understood the meaning of it, im not 100% but i believe its about destruction, dominance and the tyranny of humanity.
I learned about it at University (I'm an art historian). :) It's about the death of the medium film which has been connected to nostalgia from the very beginning (because nitrate movies were decaying and they had to find other ways to record a movie. So from the very beginning there was this attitude: 'we have to save the material) Bill Morrison (the artist who made this movie) worked with found footage to play with this feeling of nostalgia. :D
@Zvolanek16 mmkay.... i can see completely why you would say that... not. only possible response to your complete uncalled for comment: Fuck YOU. if you don't have anything usefull to say: STFU
Well he is using old film I believe that has seen better days. Kinda like when you play a old VHS tape and the quality is not quite as you remember it. This old film has deteriorated over time, this is the result
i had to sit through 70 minutes of this shite today

Rad!!! I love how the decay becomes diagetic to the story and changes how the original footage is interpreted. :D

Chaos is rising, swallowing the whole of creation into an abyss of eternal, incomprehensible darkness and insanity.
Still a good day to go to the county fair, though.
