If it was caught in the Eastern USA it's probably a chain pickerel. pike that size are usually super skinny

Well i dont know what kind of pickerel/ pike you have been catching. but as far as i know all species of pickerel have a dorsel fin, grass pickerel, chain pickerel, and red fined pickerel. this isnt a red finpickerel, and im guessing its a grass pickerel because thats what the title says. and yea there is such thing as a grass pickerel
