Even if that sword was no more than a toy, there were still metal edges on that forklift or whatever you used to hoist up the watermelon. Cheap Katana + Much harder steel = Half of a sword blade in your neck.

no sowrd is worth buying unless it is from an actual swordsmith and cost $2000-$4000

You can't judge a sword buy it's price unless you know anything about swords. A good sword (buy a sword smith) would most likely be made of 14 layers of atleast 1000 carban steel. If you want to pay $2000 dollars for that, it's your deal.

But if you'er only slashing watermelons (which i love doing) all in needs it to be sharp. maybe even made out of zinc instead of steel.
