thats ah negative NickGoossen. A mixed martial artists would just take a boxer down and from there on out the boxer would be worthless. He'd get submitted, ground and pounded, and just worked. Boxers cannot compete with Mixed Martial Artists, plain and simple !!! Now the best boxers could outbox anyone in the UFC, but I think a Muay That type guy like Anderson Silva would kick ah boxers ass. Knees,elbows,kicks high and low. Another boxer lost !!!
The more MMA turns into a "striking" competition, the more I notice the lack of technique in their fighters. Yeah, once you get into the wrestling its a different skill set, but lately I've seen a lot of KO's in the UFC that were the result of wild swings. Put the best of each weight class against each other in an octagon and I think the boxers would fair quite well.
Williams sounds like Cintron before fighting Margarito. Sounds like Clottey before fighting Margarito. Sounds like Kyvelos before fighting Margarito. I go for margarito by late stoppage. Williams looks tough, though.
tough fight but margarito will pull this off he has the title plus more aggresive its a set up for a huge showdown between cotto and margarito thats what i think
