I was there Sat watching the practice and then had a bad motorbike crash Sun - Air Ambulance called etc - broke & severed my ankle in half , bit mangled up - they took me to my local hospital. As I was in resuss I heard them bring in the next crash victim and it was Chris. Although I was just conscious I heard he had a lot of broken bits and was in a worse state than me (and I was hurting bad) so good luck Chris - hope you are back in the car quickly!!

@daddyschlong14 - The Henry Surtees/Jack Clarke crash happened coming out of Westfield Bend into Dingle Dell, whereas this happened at Pilgrims Drop before the hill heads back up to Hawthorn Bend. I wouldn't say Brands Hatch is especially dangerous, just a proper circuit - these crashes and the Seat Eurocup one were all freak shunts really. But Brands does sort the men from the boys, and is 100x better than the sanitised modern F1 circuits!

Personally i think Brands Hatch is one of nowadays most dangerous circuits. We have seen so many big crashes there.... the seat leon supercup, chris van der drift, johnny herbert and of course the fatal crashes of henry surtees and that superbike rider in the last 2 years. I think they should start working on the safety of that circuit.

I was by the bridge right where he crashed, it was the most awful thing I think I have ever seen. I saw him go up in the air and straight onto the bridge. It looks worse in real life, he apparently broke his knee and that was it but others say that he broke his ankle and injured other parts but if you ask mr he is very lick to be alive. @motormouth1974v3 iv got to disagree, what schumacher did was so dangerous! he left barricello a gap which he knew he would take, and then moved over only when he knew barrichello was committed to passing him, forcing him off the track at 200mph. what schumacher should have done is place his car on the inside to begin with, and let barricello try to race around the outside of him. he probably wouldnt have lost the position and would have avoided such a dangerous incident.
