@theslickricky haha id like to see you bowl him! and what about getting nothing lower then 9 sucks so bad?? he didnt have a good look and couldnt carry. if he bowled you he would spank you and send you home crying every single time you dumb bitch
Danny Wiseman looks like a young Waylon Jennings in this video. =) Waylon was & always will be my favorite country music singer. Danny was hot to trot, bowling that day!
duke did not have a way better season. only reason he was in it is because the major win. it was as if malott was making every show on all conditions. you have no argument here. i was hoping duke was gonna pull it out but it woulda sucked for malott cuz he had a way better overall season
Everyone loves to make the "straighter is greater" argument, when in reality, the average rev rate of the PBA is approaching 350 RMP. Yes, it works for guys like Norm and WRW, but the game is changing to a young man's sport.
Sure, you hear pros talk about working on their straight game, but when it comes down to it, more pros are stretching the limits of swinging the ball than playing up the boards.
By the way, Tommy has more titles since 2004-05 than Walter Ray Williams, Jr. or Norm Duke.
I didn't see Tommy Jones on TV ONCE since 2008. But I've seen Duke and WRW a few times. And of course Jones has more wins since 04. He's pushing 30, he better have more wins than those 15 years his senior. Hell I know that its good to have a lot of revs, Wes Malott is my favorite and he has a lot of revs. He's also 6'5'' tho.
Its actually more like consistent is greater. A guy with a high rev rate, versatility, and consistency *cough*MALLOTT*cough is the winner these days.
Jones made two appearances this season, one of which was a major, the other was a title match. And exactly what is your point about age? When Norm first made it on tour, he went SEVEN years between his first and second titles.
Sure, Wes had a great season, but he also had great equipment backing him up. Was he your favorite when he was with Track or Columbia 300?
Roto Grip has only a handful of high-performance options that he has to familiarize himself with, all of which are top notch.
Jones, on the other hand, is with a company that's in transition. Ebonite is completely revamping their line. Hell, they can't give away NVDs and Striking Motions fast enough. On tour, Jones is almost restricted to using three balls: Gamebreaker, The One Pearl, and Clash. He doesn't have a Rogue Cell or Cell Pearl at his fingertips.
I agree Tommy Jones has some incredible talent! However, I don't think its simply the ball company that hes with thats giving him a problem. I mean in the 06-07 season PA was using equipment that he didnt feel suited him right and went back to his original equipment that he thought wasnt working and he made a bunch of shows and won some titles, which doesnt really say much about ball equipment only that PA is a great player and he just had to get bowl with what he was comfortable with.
I also think that TJ has gotten his backswing way too high which is a problem I have even with the help that he got from Mark Baker. I think he really needs a lot of work in that department if he is gonna get better!
his backswing is not to high r u retarded its his style i know fagan hasnt won yet but he made like 6 shows last year and look at his backswing. back when PDW was tearing up the tour his backswing was almost vertical
hell yes as soon as ebonite gets there shit together or jones switches to a new ball company he will be tearing up the tour again. i dont doubt that he will have many seasons coming up soon that he will win 4 or more titles in a year
Mallott is not anywheres near as good as everyone thinks he is the guy can only play on one oil pattern!! he has almost no versatility in his game and he only has 6 titles in 8 years. I think it was just a lucky season and it wont happen again
Mallott is pretty good, I dont think hes the best ever, but he is still pretty good. And he is versatile, he was high average for the year, came in 2nd twice, you dont do that for the season bowling on one pattern. Plus he was high average in the marathon on 3 of the 4 patterns. He is pretty good. I agree he probably wont have that kind of season again, but you never know.
true about the average and everything but i really dont think he is near as good as he is being made out to be i think it was the season of his life. he will never have one near that good again
Ok you are a stone idiot and know nothing about bowling. Im not a malott fan at all but they dont call him mr versatility for nothing. he was making shows on every oil pattern they threw at him last year. he was the best bowler in the world last year and theres no denying just because you dont like him. recognize
tommy jones use to be amazing. now he sucks balls.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Revs =/= wins, just ask Duke or WRW.
