  • Jena Malone looks like Jennelle Evans from teen mom 2 just younger...

  • is it just me or does she look like kristen stewart?

  • This isn't an anti-christian movie this is a anti-hypocrite move. A hypocrite is a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, especially a person whose actions belie stated beliefs

  • "no, i was thinking of something a little less gangster" lol

  • ah! oh god! so many people I recognize! I didn't even know this movie existed!

  • "I crashed... my van... into JESUS!" - LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • oh stop all this religious talk and just enjoy the movie people!

  • Then why does it portray all the Christians as stupid people? Is that what the film is trying to convey? Do you see one single good Christian in the film?

  • @darkdavegmail theres no such thing as a good christian!

  • @thrashdouche21 Actually there is no such thing as a good man, period, no man is good. But it's all about levels isn't it? In the movie all the Christians are very very bad, and the non Christians do appear... OMG... GOOD! How is this possible may I ask? No man is Good , but Christians do normally appear Good because they die to them selves so it is not them that live but God inside them that live. They are dead in flesh and alive in the spirit.

  • @darkdavegmail I don't think I remember what the character's name was, but the guy that Patrick Fugit played seemed like a pretty alright Christian.

  • @darkdavegmail agreed.

  • THIS IS WHAT CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS NEED TO TEACH

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 ESV If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. (2) And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. (3) If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.

  • 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 ESV Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant (5) or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; (6) it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. (7) Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

    Without Love All Is Nothing

THAT is what needs to be taught in Christian schools. Before healing, prosperity or anything.

  • @airdriver It's not something that can be thought, but given freely if they accept the Holy Spirit into their heart, all these things such as love and patience become automatic.

  • @darkdavegmail

While I will admit that the Holy Spirit can change lives, hearts and minds, it has been my experience growing up in the church is that love, kindness and respect NEED TO BE TAUGHT. I grew up in a church in an affluent suburb where EVERYONE was arrogant, selfish, prideful and thought nothing about tearing people down and stepping on those less fortunate than them. This was, in part due to the fact that the elders were the financial pillars as well.

  • @darkdavegmail

At this church the teenagers in the youth group were taught to be backstabbers, backbiters and advantage takers. One of the REAL reasons Christians have been held in such low regard is that they DO NOT FOLLOW BIBLICAL TEACHINGS ABOUT LOVE. Ask any backslider why they quit the church and inevitably they will say that it was because of the people and their hypocritical ways.

  • This is trully a coward's film, I like to see the producers do an equivilent movie for Islam :) Maybe they should call it: JIHAD

  • for those who have no idea what this movie is about because this movie does NOT explaine it

It's about a christian girl (mary) whos boyfriend turns gay so she decides to have sex with him before marriage hoping to cure him of his "gayness" when he is sent to "mercy house" to under go "De-gayifacation" Mary find out she is pregnant

  • @xXBlueDiamondsXx Thats how gays are born.

  • I smashed my van into Jesus. looool.I LOVE MANDY MOORE

  • i have seen the Film and guys save your eyes and do not look this terrible movie

  • Oprah is not god. Stop playing her advertisements :p

  • in this movie they play a song boy a band called royale the song is called everyday... i cannot find it anywhere... anyone know where a person might find this song?

  • DOES Anyone know the name of the song that starts at 1:14? Its been killing me for YEARS.

  • @artemishunter88 that would be "Jesus Is Just All Right" by DC Talk haha:)

  • @fizzgigify Thanks, but if you click the timestamp link on my comment, that's not the song Im talking about. It's the rock song that starts about 1:14.

  • @artemishunter88 ahh, I'm sorry... didn't read your comment carefully enough, saw the 1 and 4 and the song I mentioned starts at 1:41 or so. not sure what the other song is!

  • who's down with G-O-D

  • well said

  • This was filmed at my highschool:) I remember seeing that gigantic Jesus in the parking lot when I was a kid. I didn't meet Mandy Moore or Macaulay Culkin though. That was when I was like; 5. xD

  • The ignorant part is you saying that just because you haven't seen a lot of them that there must not be too many. THAT is an ignorant statement.

  • i am filled with Christ love *throws Bible* best part

  • this movie is not anti-christian people it's anti stupid people

  • I JUST realized that Martin Donovan was in this movie, as well as Weeds. It suddenly hit me that he was with Mary Louise Park in both this movie and Weeds...love it.

  • "I CRASHED MY VAN INTO JESUS!"

    haha! lol :)))

  • My oldest sister has "borrowed" this movie for two year from me and still hasn't gave it back.

  • Why is everyone putting down different religions. We believe what we believe. I honestly don't care what religion you are. You could be atheist and it wouldn't matter to me. Can we just see people for who they are, not where they go Sunday morning? Also. GOD BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!!!!! XD Patrick Fugit....I hope he knows I love him. :)

  • fuck all religons in general like for real its just something to make a person feel good at the end of the day.

  • @HeemLeakers And that's a bad thing?

  • @gothgothloliloline i mean if ur weak but i don't consider my self weak enough to have something false be my crutch in life reality is my crutch not something figure no one has ever seen appear in human flesh.

  • @gothgothloliloline Your username... The Wallflower!!! :D

  • @HeemLeakers Well yeah, every religion is a method to reduce one's ego in the benefit of the collective, starting with hinduism, buddhism, later judao-christiniasm & islam. That's not a bad idea in general, the thing is that people with personal agendas and stupid followers can transform ideas into bad things. Religion did that, and so did atheism. But maybe that's just another step in our evolution.

  • @HeemLeakers In US, religion is used by people mainly as political or a social tool. I consider this behaviour as primitivism! Since many religious Americans care mostly about their immediate gain, or feeling superior cause of their beliefs, rather than becoming better people( altruistic, empathic), I would encourage you to promote atheism. Try to do it in a less aggressive manner, and you should have better results.

  • @HeemLeakers Weed does the same thing...but you probably do it. ;)

  • @ShamamalamaSama i mean yea of course but rather than praise something that doesn't exist i self medicate. :p

  • I think it's awesome that the pastor and Mary Louise Parker are both in Weeds! I also think it's funny that Mandy Moore, her character being the self centered, ego-maniacal, bratty, poor example of a Christian also plays a very kind hearted and devout Christian in A Walk To Remember. I love both of these movies AND Weeds lol

  • this movie is pretty much mean girls living on i love jesus street. i love it!

  • fuck christianity

  • @HeemLeakers Yea, and fuck Islam!

  • @ILikeRedbuII Fuck youuuuu!!

  • umm, this is a very good trailer, other than the fact that it left out 2 VERY important key plots in the movie!

    1. her boyfriend is GAY

    2. her gay boyfriend makes her PREGNANT!

  • @MrLuvGame spoiler alert

  • @thecoolmik its NOT a spoiler alert cuz those r the 2 things that make the movie in the first place.

  • nope its my job im god and this is pure evil

  • YES a good old fashioned atheist movie!!

  • THIS IS A GREAT MOVIE ABOUT LOVE AND UNDERSTANDING ...TO EACH OTHER NO MATTER YOUR OWN RELIGION OR GOD...I DO THINK THAT IN EVERY RELIGION EACH GOD WANTS EVERYONE TO BE HAPPY AND TO LOVE YOURSELF AS TO LOVE OTHERS AND MOST OF ALL TO RESPECT EACH OTHER AS HUMAN BEINGS, NO ONE BUT ABSOLUTLY NO ONE HAS THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH...JUST OPEN YOUR MIND AND LET TENDERNESS AND LOVE FULLFILL YOUR PERSONALITY TO BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND EACH ONE OTHER...SAVED....YES BY LOVE ¡¡¡¡¡

  • I am FILLED with Christ's love!!!!!

  • Umm... yeah... way to over the top. I don't think I wanna watch this movie.

  • we arent all this crazy....

  • Good Movie :)

  • do all christians think homosexuality is wrong? why would a god whos almighty be such a petty person

  • @koopa64z no, not all Christians think homosexuality is wrong. :)

  • @CeilteachLuna Now God doesnt like the homoseuality but loves the person hates the sin it;s called hloy hatrad

  • @CeilteachLuna We just don't think it's right ;)

  • This movie looks funny, but i hate how it makes Christians look insane, then again a lot of media makes Christians look judgemental and insane

  • @TinaTiny24

I think you need only go into a church in the U.S. on a sunday and anyone can see why they "look" insane.

  • Oh, that perverted creepy daddy from The Quiet.

  • This movie is so funny. My favorite line is after she throws the bible at Jena and Jena says "This is not a weapon." People need to remember that.

  • one of the best teen movies, this and Mean Girls

  • can people jus enjoy the movie and jus shut the fuck up? damn.

  • @HeyyCorrayy no

  • l love this movie just got done watching it with my bestie, lol this movie was so awesome, I how the movie wasn't just one side, it wasn't trying to bash religion and it was't trying to base people who aren't regligious, however I love the social commentary of hypocrisy in the movie, it's a great film.

  • i have the same hair cut as hilary faye. i didnt realize it until i was watching the movie lol

  • Omg i want to fuck mandy moore:)

  • i love patrick fugit!

  • @Wowpooop I know he is damn cute lol and in this movie he was so sweet

  • is this the one with the gay guy

  • Mandy Moore is really good in this

  • 13 people are not down with G O D !

  • Reminds me of the people at a church in my town.

They wouldn't hold the bakalaureat there because the valedictorian was Muslim. They threw a total conniption fit.

The school then held the bakalaureat elsewhere and essentially told that church what's for.

  • WHEN I SAW THIS MOVIE I CRIED A LIL BIT!oo

  • why do almost all movies to do with christian beliefs have crazy people?

i wanna see this though :)

  • @doggiegyrl Religious fanatics are the crazy people depicted in this movie. They're all around us.

  • @askquestionseektruth i know that but i actually haven't come across any crazy christians yet; there can't be that many of them then, so why are they shown alot in movies?

  • @doggiegyrl Oh. I haven't seen crazy to the extent of throwing a Bible, but I've definitely seen cray.

  • @doggiegyrl That might be one of the most ignorant things I have ever heard...

  • @sdragongalvan what's ignorant?? that i haven't seen crazy christians?? :/ veeery confused.

  • I love this movie! Whats the song at the beginning??

  • This reminds me of my two years at a Conservative Christian school...the sad thing is, most of those kids were ACTUALLY LIKE this haha...worst two years of my life. x.x

  • I'm fully aware that this movie is a comedy, and that certain things are exaggerated, but it actually reminds me of my own past as an idealistic "No sex before marriage" Christian girl. Funny :P

  • lmfao!!! "i crashed my van into Jesus"

  • NO LOL

  • this film is satan's work you shall all burn for your sin! BURN! BURN! BURN!

  • @TheDeathfrombelow HAHAHAHA you are sucha jokester.

  • @TheDeathfrombelow

    Eheheh... Funny.

  • @TheDeathfrombelow na, this film is the work of a true Christian who is among one of the few who live outside the Christian bubble.

  • @BlackSnow715 you will burn for your transgretions

  • @TheDeathfrombelow I thought it was God's job to decide who's to burn for transgressions?

  • why would someone throw a bible at someone have respect for the bible plz

  • I haven't seen this movie in about six years. I had forgotten about it. I wanna get this on dvd again and watch it.

  • I love this movie! Mandy Moore was great but her character was such a bitch, so unlike her!

  • The film was pretty good, until it completely caved in at the end. Probably because all the Christians were offended by the first two-thirds or so. It basically advocates one of those "moderate/liberal interpretation of Jesus" approaches that is intellectually bankrupt. It holds true to neither the Bible nor Reason. It's just a muddled compromise that is wholly inconsistent with itself.

  • definitely one of those movies that has a trailer that makes it look 10x worse than it is, this was an amazing movie

  • @ursuchazoey I totally agree with you!! This movie is amazing, but the trailer makes it look like a normal teen movie, just set in a christian school, when it is so much more than that!

  • A great deal of sexual condemnation amongst christian believers

  • A great deal of sexual condemnation amongst christian believers

  • This movie was really good. and its values were good too, it showed that most times, God doesn't care what race you are, what you did in the past, or anything like that. Its all about if you love him, and keep him in your heart. The crazy religious people miss that.

  • i love this movie!!! its underrated!!

  • "I crashed my van into JESUS!!" lmao

  • ahahah I love this movie and some christians should stop thinking their religion is the only one in the world !!!

  • Kevin?!

  • I'm a Christian and I actually enjoyed this movie =) As funny as it is, it also shows how love & acceptance is the message of Jesus. No one is perfect & what right do we have to judge someone who we find different to ourselves. Instead of tearing others down we should build up others like Jesus did.

I go to a Christian school & attitudes like Hilary's and pastor's are really present there. But most people at my school are like Patrick =)

  • I'm an athiest and loved this movie haha.

    I recommened it! :)

  • @KellyJayneAustralia and I am a Christian and I loved this movie! We should be friends :)

  • I am filled with christ love!

  • i am FILLED with christ's love!!!

    hahaha!

  • Whats the song at the beginning of the trailer and after?

  • @Cr0wblackDream the one at the end is dc Talk, Jesus is Just Alright.

  • @quasiamoebic Jesus is Just Alright has been covered by a few different bands, including DC Talk. It was originally by The Art Reynolds Singers, but I believe this is the version by The Doobie Brothers.

  • mandy moore simply kicked ass in this movie n so did Jena

  • OMG this movie is so friggin hilarious.

  • thank god! i'm an atheist :)

  • @yummyaimee oh the irony in that statement, kudos friend, kudos

  • an enjoyable movie!

  • I love this movie so freakin much.

  • I thought the Jewish girl was funny...

  • @HerrSpieldose ... and hot

  • Christianists? Is that even a real word? Of course you don't get it, people who see real Christians will never get why they are happy and not miserable like most people. There are people who claim to be Christians and don't behave that way so I'll just assume this movie is about them and written by some little punk who had a hard time with said group. I see childish mockery and toilet humor. Waste of time.

  • I love this movie! It's definitely my favorite. The characters are funny and real, and the acting is pretty damn good. Jena Malone is perfect!

  • Best Christian satire film ever created! Christianists don't realize that this is how we view them. This film does a fantastic job of getting the message across (though I'm sure most fundamentalists wouldn't watch it). Mandy Moore did a fantastic job...all the actors did

  • Whats the name of that song in the very beginning were its like "whos down with God"?

  • "I smashed my van into JESUS!"

  • I just smashed into Jesus!! haha don't worry he'll forgive you :)

  • Personally, I'm an Atheist - but I am not here to bash this movie.

In fact, I just watched this movie again today.

I really like it - it's hilarious...And it also shows acceptance.

I love the message at the end too, that Mary gives.

    I also love Cassandra & Roland as a pairing...I think they're adorable together. <3

  • @NekojinAmako Hey! You're awesome!

  • @FormerDeathMachine Thank you! =)

  • @FormerDeathMachine You're awesome, too =)

  • I'm a strong Christian and I love Saved! I remember being in my old church youth group and having the people there act more catty and exclusive than many people who did not know Christ. There's nothing un-Christian about the film's message that even Christians are screwed-up people and those who believe in Christ shouldn't get legalistic to the point that they forget about God's love and grace.

  • @luckystar007 AMEN!! Well said! I love how they're all huddled around the Cross at the end, as if saying that Christ's grace truly is sufficient for EVERYONE! Christians are regular people, with regular problems like everyone else. The moment we begin to thank ourselves and assume that our "goodness" or "holiness" is of our own strength and accord, we end up like Mandy Moore's character and her little minions. Btw, I still think Mandy is so beautiful lol

  • that one girl looks like Evan Rachel Wood.

  • I was born christian, go to church every sunday and raised in catholic school. it was in said catholic school i first saw this movie and fell in love with it.

  • Such a good movie :D

  • "I am FILLED with Christ's love!" She says as she throws the holy book at someone with unimaginable force.

  • Whatever, the bible is a great book. But I would never beleive anything it says. It really is alll myth.

  • I love watching the movie "Saved!" over and over again. The film reminds me that gay men and women are humans also and encourages me to tolerate and respect them.

  • @CoastakaMichael saying that you need encouragement just to tolerate and respect gay people, makes you seem like a person who believes they are more superior than others. you need a movie to help you ''tolerate'' a certain type of person. thats fucked, your fucked.

  • @JakerO4 Technically I am Unitarian. I was raised in my youth by Fundamentalists to believe that gay people were to be looked down upon, and my mindset in my childhood and my mindset in my adulthood are different.

  • @CoastakaMichael The saddest thing about this comment, is that you need reminded. And the most ridiculous thing is that you write that as if your tolerance and respect for them needs to be fought for and deserved.

As nice as this comment tried to come off, it sounded ridiculously prejudice of you.

  • america is the most "black or white" on religion out of all the industrialized countries.

perfect satirical movie for our time!

  • I personally HATED this film with a passion, but that's not cause i'm a "bible basher" or anything like that(and i'm not, though i'm not religious myself) I just found the film extremely unfunny and I didn't care one bit about any of the characters, and while it was interesting to see Mandy Moore play an extremely unlikeable character, she was woefully miscast and not the least bit convincing.

  • this movies really shows that spiritual training is not about rasing your head and get lost in the clouds....but to bow down and learn from others...

  • one of my favorite movies of all time!!! and is not offensive to christians even if it seems like it

  • I love this movie.

  • Before mindlessly citing a bible, you should know: a) There was timothy back then (English only exists less 800 years). b) The whole idea of the 'Rapture' is an invention by a radical sect called 'The Levellers' during the English Civil War. Witnessing the atrocities at that time, people believed the apocalypse is near and it became part of the King John's bible written in those years. You won't find it any other bible based on Luther, Calvin or the Latin texts...

  • Another bible-basher who leaves a comment without actually having seen the film. If you had, you would know that the film is actually promoting the true Christian values (and Jesus' teachings!) of love, tolerance and forgiveness. Btw, before preaching you should better reading the bible first. Jesus said that you should love your 'neighbours' (= people different to you), tolerate their 'otherness' and forgive their sins - not to "turn away" from them! Even an atheist like me knows that...

  • @Miniboy17 I've watched the whole movie. i was just upset at how nieve and cold-hearted the christians were in this film. I was reminded of the passage in 2 timothy because the majority of "christians" in this film had a form or religious self-righteous "godliness", but didnt have a clear idea of who Jesus is. Of course you should love them, but you sholdn't seek them for spiritual leadership.

i probably should have left the verse with a little more explination, but hey.

  • @Miniboy17 Im sorry i felt like my post was appropriate, given that this movie is about people who are all about calling themselves "Christians" and dont look like they've placed their trust in christ.

I do understand that the bible wasnt written in english, but we have full copies of the bible that date back to at least within a century or two of the life of Jesus. These of course are greek copies, but with a little work and a greek dictionary i bet we could translate the verse.

  • @Miniboy17 lol genius!

  • @Miniboy17 - agree with you.

  • @Miniboy17 ok. this movie is so funny and i love it. but what your saying is dead wrong about the bible. check your facts. im sorry for whoever hurt you or whatever hurt you but thats not how everyone is. yes the movie is sacrilegious but its A MOVIE! So let it go. and we love and forgiveness was not.. but NOT tolerance.. that one is made up. i hope this doesnt sound snotty. simply my opinion.

  • @Miniboy17 You don't have to be Christian to have love, tolerance, and forgiveness. That should just be a general thing society should promote as a whole, if my opinion means anything.

  • @SomeIncredibleDude it doesn't

  • @SomeIncredibleDude i don't mean to be rude but alot of christians don't have tolerance... well, a certain brand of christians... tons do but like a million others don't... and they always use God to justify their hate... i am not christian and i have tons of tolerance... because i see no reason not to

  • @Mandysummers3 I agree. I always say that I don't understand how some Christians will be yelling horrible things about other people outside of planned parenthood or gay bars and say that they are full of God's love. God loves everyone no matter what. And then those same people turn around and preach things such as love and how only God can judge. Some of those "Christians" need a good slap in the face.

  • @sdragongalvan yes :) you summed it up quite nicely

  • @sdragongalvan thank you very much! I am not Christian but i believe there is no 'wrong or right' religion. Everyone is different, and so are their beliefs. It's once they start saying other people are wrong, putting them down, and trying to convert them... thats when it becomes wrong and a sin (for lack of a better word)

no matter your religion or belief, I truly believe no deity wants you to put down others beliefs

  • @Applebutter799 You can judge other people's beliefs as you like, just respect their right to them.

  • @Applebutter799 It's a nice thought, but the religious texts that people follow say the opposite.

  • @HookersNBlow Well, no they don't. Even in the bible, one of the rules was 'love your neighbour as yourself'. It's already saying their to accept them as they are

  • @Mandysummers3 True, but a lot of people are that way. To call-out Christians on it I think would be ignorant, and that could be said for almost every religion.

  • @SomeIncredibleDude Sin is inside the blood, no ammount of simulated love and tolerance will change that. People are by nature sinful, thats why what you suggest will not SAVE a person only being saved will. Hence the title SAVED.
