@uther56 Yup. When you've got the 453T with a on-engine air compressor, you've got extra air to spare. Pretty cool truck, eh? I've been trying to get him to answer a couple of my questions for a while now; but he must be busy working on the truck! :D

@FASTBOOBS 453T = 4 cylinders / 53 cubic inches per cylinder. Standard governed 453 RPM is supposed to be 2600-2800. It's a 5 speed manual, with a 3 speed auxillary, so it's a 5 & 3. Max turbo pressure I believe is around 12-14lbs. Hope that helps. =)

What's that in the exhaust? Looks like an O2 sensor but I'm sure it can't be, or maybe a EGT sensor?

@stonent What you see in the exhaust pipe, just behind the turbo is the "dung" or in laymans terms, the

exhaust Gas Temp sensor for the pyrometer...back in the day of REAL trucks (semis) we used to have to drive by the pyrometer, especially in the grades...and shifted by exhaust temp readings on the pyrometer to keep the turbo from building too high temps and disintergrating the exhaust side.

I had 12v71's that were "built" and EGT's were critical to watch.
