where'd you get your info from? McLaren F1's were made on a ordered basis. only 100 were released to dealers but people could order straight from the factory. there were 25 released in white, 25 in Orange and 50 in black. but then again, those were the ones that were released to dealers, they didn't keep track of the ordered numbers.

Its not an LM, all "LMs" were Orange as far as I know. If this is Long Island, it could be Jay Leno's car... he lives there right? He owns a few nice cars... The McLaren F1's is an industry standard to be lived up to even today, and it was built almost 15 years ago. It was so far ahead of its time, the finest supercars of today are just catching up to it. It is also completely handbuilt, and the production figures are lower than that of the S7. The Saleen is a great car but it's not in the same league as the McLaren, sorry.

Just because it has a spoiler doesn't make it an LM. The previous poster is correct, LMs were painted orange. There are a few mods for a Mclaren F1, and the spoiler is an after production mod sought by most F1 owners due to the great stability it gives the car. Its a supercar ment to go fast and the spoiler helps keep the car on the ground, which is why this Mclaren F1 has a spoiler. The owner made a smart investment and it just so happens to look like an LM to the untrained eye.
