why think there is water on the moon ...how is that important you ask ?? it isent why just like to talk shit to echader in order to make you think why are making something important. T_T
and it is just misdirection, the big thing at the moment is the sun! but the human kind is going to go from homo serpiens to homo luminus. that is the now, and the future of mankind: enlightenment...
Ur an idiot... its 12/21/2012... AND NOTHING is going to happen! It's a ploy to make us stock up, and spend more money to boost the economys around the world! It's Y2K all over again, as I've said since the beginning! ANYONE who buys into the whole 2012 crap didn't learn from 1999. The "proof" of the supposed "change" then doesnt exist. You're all cows and sheep! Just go back to sleep into the barn when your government "cowboys" release the dogs. simple minded cattle!!
Really don't understand some of you people. Scientists are people, not gods. They sweat and tie their shoes and make mistakes like anyone does -- and they DON'T know all the secrets of the universe like TV characters do. The human race is still learning its place in the universe, folks. I'm not going to correct the techie points made here because self-enlightenment is supposed to be reward for curiosity, not game couch potatoes.
I'm taking your comment as a response to mine. What am I wrong about? How many LRO's does it take to get detailed surface shots? We've been able to read someone's watch from a sattelite since 1980! You idiots take 20-yrs to come up with the shuttle & 40-yrs to figure out shooting up supply pods? You better be part of the lie or at least ashamed. Yeah, I'm not in the game, but somehow it only took 10-yrs to literally "build" a fully successful space program? Go ahead get as techie as you want...
There have been numerous landings on the moon by Apollo spacecraft. Many soil samples have been colected.
Where and what are the results?
How come a spectrometer can bring more answers, than people collecting samples on the Moon itself? I do understand that landing locations where the limiting factor, but still, it's mind boggling!
Those results point to the Earth and Moon having a common origin.
It dates the Earth-Moon system at around 4.5 billion years.
The results are ALL OVER... a simple search (and once you get through all the religious disinformation in said searches) you can find the answers... Wikipedia is a good place to start.
A spectra analyzer can sample wider area in a time unit. I uses energy absorption, from light, in the materials to calculate the materials contained there...
Saying uh whilst speaking shows intelligence. At least according to a local news cast that explored that very thing. Apparently there has been research on this but, you will have to google it. Doesn't mean one is dumb or ignorant.
Why do we say 'um', 'er', or 'ah' when we hesitate in speaking?
Not everyone says "um", "er" or "ah" when they hesitate while speaking. It depends upon the language.
For example, speakers of Mandarin Chinese often say"zhege" which roughly translates as this. In English we say "um", "er", "ah", or other vocalisations for reasons that linguists are not entirely sure about. "Um", "er", and ah contain what linguists call "neutral vowel sounds" making them among the easiest sounds to make.

Not sure I understand what you are saying here, considering that NASA *is* the U.S. Government Space Program.

Did they find Helium 3 on the Moon? THAT is the question!

I looked at the moon today ... watched it set into the Gulf of Mexico ... and it wasn't gray. It was yellow then orange and finally red.
The moon is beautiful. Especially from the Earth. Not so much from the moon. There isn't any birds or flowers or dolphins on the moon.

There is a civilization on the moons, inhabited by the spirit-mind of a man. Do you not see how the brain and the universe is alike?

are you being (to use your word) "idiotic" enough to forget about the politics involved in the billions needed to do these things?
But you answer your own question... How much better are cameras now v.s. just 3 years ago? would you not want to take new picture with a new camera?
Its not about being techie... its a bout not being silly...

Oh I wasn't implying that I just noted how the woman speaking said '' uh '' a lot so I looked up why people do that.
Thanks for the info though.
