Why do people say this is a Nina Simone cover. It was recorded by a lot of people before Buckley, not only Simone.The only singer to have chart success with this song was Elkie Brooks.

should really say Elkie Brooks cover, though I love Simone she was only the third best singer of this song.

@frobsey Yes It is an Elkie Brooks cover, as Elkie was the only singer to bring it into the charts. Elkie is a great singer.
