I admit that was amazing even with a 3.5 lb rifle. I did a competition with a 9.8lb rifle with a 10 in. bayonet and it was a lot of fun. If ur looking to get into bayonet spinning hit me up.
@leskichris This is a full-weight 1903, probably the same as what you were using. I have a bayonet and it's fun to tinker with, but it's not my thing.

It does not weigh 34 pounds. That was sarcasm. It's standard weight. If anyone ever tells you their rifle weighs above 10 pounds (no matter what kind - M1, '03, or M14), they are lying to you.
@Koenig42 unless its sum1 from the USAFA then there lying, the heaviest rifle ive ever had to spin is 9.5 lbs and it was heavy, i spin the m1 and '03 and i like both but stick with m1 for starting out
thats not true i talked to one of the other guys on their team yesterday and he didnt want to tell us the weight and there was a girl half the size of me throwing quads.. so thats BSand then when the flour bluff's best guys tried to spin the texas a % n fish drill team rifle he droped it many times cause he wasnt used to it because they use super light drill rifles....he dropped and broke 3 rifles
Flour Bluff's Armed Exhibition team uses regular, demilitarized Springfields. I know this for a fact. I have held these rifles before. I have watched them compete with the very rifle I had in my hands. If you can't get over the fact that a girl can throw higher than you, then that's your problem.
there are certain regulations depending on what event you compete in Flour Bluff's Armed just like any other armed (not including non-service) must compete with at least a rifle weighing 9.8 pounds or heavier if not they get points reduced plus places like john jay, flour bluff, and black watch all have rifles at least 9.8 pounds or more they are not using "3.5 lb" rifles
