What a band! Traffic live at the Santa Monica Civic. Steve was brilliant as usual. I'm so glad they're in the Hall of Fame. Thanks Traffic and Steve. It was around this time that I saw them at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium. Talent to burn!
WHEN I THINK OF ALL THE TALENTLESS TWATS DOING LIP SYNC'ED CONCERTS TODAY AND I HEAR THIS..I WEEP FOR TODAY;S GENERATION,,THEY KNOW NOT WHAT QUALITY POP IS!
that vast huddled mass who ain't aware Winwood was just another run of the mill genius that happened to appear in that second renaissance. None of us will live long enough to see another period such as what happned in the 60's/early 70s.
@74sodapop While you're wishing, wish concerts were still general admission for $3 and you never knew who would show up. Concerts were events because they weren't planned which makes planned events an oxymoron?
Very nice... Traffic was one of the very best bands of the day. I always wonder why they get a bit more respect... like some others. Very sophisticated and on the cutting edge, so to speak.
A mention for Chris Wood. Miss you, pixie. Also Capaldi. What deep talent this band had!

I sometimes forget how beautiful Steve Winwood's voice can be, I mean it's just perfect here.

Absolutely incredible. There always seems to be a timeless, ancient quality to WInwood's music.
Everyone is so good on this. Wood is just wonderful on flute.

A great shame this is not out officially on DVD yet. The best alternative available is the DVD-boots taken from the japanese laserdisc-version.
