My interpretation is about a man having lots of lovers at different times and believing each one is the love of his life, possibly mistaking sex for love [from the visual]. As a result, he tattoos his body with their names, thinking his current girl is "the one" but before long she dumps him and he moves onto the next. The priest and the angel are perhaps symbols of how he must repent to save himself from loving too much, or "wasting love", and maybe just how he should save it for one woman.

excelent song! Iron Maiden rocks! yep there really were great bands in the 80s and 90s like these guys and Scorpions, Def Leppard, Dokken, Skid Row, Van Halen i mean you name it.
