teen pregnancy is often stereotyped to be "bad" .. im 21 with a 3 and 1 yr old. My other half is 24 and we have already bought our first house a yr ago, im full time at uni and working as a trainee midwife, he's a qualified painter and we're doing great ! sound like you are too. Being young doesnt limitate our abilities in anyway. wish you all the endeavours in your nurse training and congrats on a little man. :)
@noursette29 haha back in the older days do you seriously think people waited till they were 20 to have kids?? lmao go take a histor class and get back to me cause obviously someone is ignorant. and for your info i am in school doing very well... take your advice
i never said people waited until they were 20, don't say i said things that i didn't, i just asked you to name a decade when having a child at ten was considered old, sinc that is what you said : "Newsflash in the olden days they had kids when they were ten, and that was old!!!"
@noursette29 Hah your still dumb.. quit judging people. And back in the 1700's and crap people were having kids as soon as they could, lol so go back to school and learn the things you missed...
My little sister is 15 and pregnant. 12 weeks today. She's keeping it. I am not sure I could handel it even being 19. I admire your strength and the love you share with your boyfriend. I hope he is doing well too! How much did he weigh?
I admire you so much- to keep your baby and not do anything to get rid of it. I know that you think you should have waited, from earlier comments. But that you love your boy sooo much, and that the baby can have both parents that love him so much is a real privellage nowadays, especially with teenage mums. Congratulations. x
I also have a son named Aiden whom I had at 16. I get alot of crap on here from others who are too self absorbed to realise wee're doing he best we can. Yeah, it wouldve been better to wait a couple more years but it didnt happen like that and I love my son to bits! xx
@godsfiddler I do wish I had waited. God I do wish Aidan was born 10 years later. But he wasn't. And I am trying to deal with that the best I can. I work adn I will go to uni to establish a good career and bring good money in. But now I have Aidan I would be in pieces if anything happened to him. Thank you for posting with dignity and without calling me a whore. I appreciate that. At least you have the maturity to do that and act like and adult.
Qhy do people think that it's always a crime to be young and pregnant. i have nothing against pregnant teens. If they actually take time to realize most girls women are alot older than they were back then. Newsflash in the olden days they had kids when they were ten, and that was old!!! by the way i respect you very much :) and i loved the video. tell all the teen mom haters to F*** off. hope everything goes well
MsKimberly121 And they each have a purpose obviously or god wouldnt have made them... so why are people mad at god's work.. he has control over it all
@UltraDOG17 VERY true. I know someone who has just got a girl pregnant. When I asked her (she is 15) if she was on anything she said yeah the pill but I thought It was just to regulate my periods. BULLSHIT because the nurse tells you what the pill is for and how often you need to take it to avoid pregnancy. In the uk 16 year olds can get a part time job. I did at toys r us
@kebabqueen17 If you look on tge burserys your cousins would be intilted to a lot. It depends what courses they are doing as well. Nursing course you get a bit more as in pay because you are working long hours as well as doing uni. They should get grants to go through uni. So I don't understand why they are not? If they need it then they should be entitled to it
She really angers me. If I could take her child home I would. With a mother like that. I wouldnt be suprised if he tunred to drugs and crime. It's like history repeating it's self.
@hezz200 Or if I DO date an date single mother, She Gotta be in an unfortunated state, like her husband/bf died or lock-up 4 good in jail. I wish time did stop though (never will) Seriously on my behalf, ALOT of these folks, need to take their kids away from the deadly 360* cycle. ALOT dont need to need 2 be parents at all im tired of hearin child abuse or reckless parents leave them alone coldly.
No one feels sorry for teen mums. Why should they. ALL students get grants i.e the NHS pay EVERY nursing students fees. So if you have a problem with that take it up with the NHS
No one feels sorry for teen mums?! Are you serious??! Ok, maybe you're a bit differenent and don't expect people to feel sorry for you, fine if that's the case. But YES, EVERYONE HAS SYMPATHY FOR TEEN MOTHERS. Everyone seems to have MORE UNDERSTANDING for them for some unknown fucking reason.
I have never experianced that myself. I have mostly had abuse hurled at me.
But I can see your point as people do seem to let some teen mums off a bit. For example a girl lives across the road from me, she swears and screams at her child, has late night parties with him crying outside and different men coming in and out of the house. But when I mention it to my next door neighbour I get "She is only young" AND that gives her the right to mentally abuse her child does it. So I get your point :D
So do I wish it was stopped for people that abuse the system. I am a teen mum and I don't I want to have a good upbringing for my child. Thats why I am doing my degree.
Although I really wouldnt wish it upon anyone to have a child snatched. I wouldnt wish it on the child as that must be very traumatic for them
@UltraDOG17 WHAT THE HELL!? My point is that if many young people have sex, WHY ARE THE ONES WHO FALL PREGNANT ASSUMED TO BE SLUTS?! It could be their first time, or to their boyfriend. ACCIDENTS HAPPEN! So stop being a judgmental BASTARD and get over yourself.
Actually I only get the grants every other nursing student gets the rest I have to pay like every other student. It's called using the account my parents set up for me when I was a child. And taking loans out which I have to pay back. Aww shame you dot that wrong isnt it
Why would I want people to feel sorry for me. They have nothing to feel sorry about. I have a beautiful son with a succesful career on the horizon. I love my job and the nursing profession and my son. I just want people to realise that not EVERY teen mum drops out of school, is a bad mum and lives off the goverment. If they cant see that it's them I feel sorry for.
i cnt believe all the negative comments shit happens!!! so what if she had sex she is human ad was in love!!!! I SUPPORT YOU ... you seem like a good educated mom hope the baby is doing well
UltraDOG17- Maybe you are one of the roaches that are contaminating our earth. So does that mean I'm a hoe and worthless for growing up and being a better parent to my child than my mother has ever been to me even tough she had me at 32? I don't think so. I think you should grow up and realize that not everybody fits into your little closed-minded thoughts. It's so immature it amuses me, hun,
@jennsoamazing Your mother seems very reasonable & responsible, At least she had you at 32. I applauded her for that, My Mother had me at 28. (her 1st & only "Son", ACTUALLY knew my dad's bakground & character before having me) Very Bright, goal-orientated, humorous, Moralist, spiritual, "VERY CLASSY" & etc. She did nursing & went to college (unfortunately she'd an mental breakdown in her 2nd year & never finished)
Age means nothing if you can't act like you have the wisdom that is supposed to come about as you grow in life. It's nothing more than a number. Learn how to use contractions right, too before you want to get on me. Your use of "she'd" doesn't work in that context. Anything you would like to throw at me?? Go for it, hun... I graduated high school with high honors while being joint enrolled in college as a teenage mother.
See your not big enough te be prepared for the consquences of your actions. When my birth control failed I didnt run to the abortion clinic and faced up to what I had done. And now I have a loving, smart and funny 14 month old who I wouldntr change for the world. Before I had him I was a bitch to everyone, I never listened at school BUT when I realised I was going to be a mum it made me determened to do something with my life for him. He didn't ruin my slife, He is the reason I am at uni now
Ur welcome :) it's to early to tell if I am pregnant yet but I will hopefully know soon. Is it hard for u to take care of ur baby I'm not sure how ready I am for motherhood.
Good luck. It is very hard hun and sometimes it can be harder than I could ever imagine especially trying to juggle college and now uni with being a mum. BUT it can be done and if you are pregnant and you see that child on the scan picture your maternal instincts will kick in
I'm 17 as well and don't think I'm a slut thats just offensive i mite be pregnant but it's too early to tell for sure. Hope u and ur baby are doing well congrats:)
JossyHaterz its quite clear that YOU are the only one who needs to grow up here. Yes there is a problem with the amount of teenage pregnancies in this country but that does not mean that you can treat every single one like a piece of shit. How can the older generation judge when they are the ones who raised the younger generation? Look at your behaviour and then ask yourself why young people seem to be getting worse? If you're such an adult then why are you here commenting like a teenager would?
Am I on welfare no. And if my sons comes to me at that age and tell me he has got a girl pregnant, the of course Ii will be dissapointed because he would know how much I have struugled to support him and educate my self. But he will stand up to his responsibilities
@JossyHaterz MY TYPE, don't pretend you know me. Im just being realistic. Teens are going to have sex. Focus on the REAL issue which is educating teens about sex and contraception. Once the girl is already pregnant all we can do is be a loving community and offer her all the support we can, so she can continue her education and get a good job to support herself and her little one.
@JossyHaterz Dont assume Im american. Teenage pregnancy is the least of your nations problems. I think your comments are nasty. There will always be teen pregnancy all we can do is educate our children as best as we can and hope they use protection (multiple forms) but at the end of the day if they don't then we need to be there to support them. I've been through real tragedy - trust me teen pregnancy isnt one of them. there is also no need to attack these girls they are doing the best they can
@JossyHaterz Your nasty. Some people meet their true love early. Nothing wrong with having sex at 16/17 its totally normal. Yeah you have to be careful, but sometimes accidents happen. But those accidents turn into little miracles. Im sure the majority of these girls wished it had happened later, but it didnt! Dont judge, support is what they need. One day when you have a child you will understand this. I had my son at 22 and I still faced stupid comments from people like you.
awe good luck i was 16 when i had my first im pregnant again with my second:) 12 weeks im 18 now married have our own place living on a mil base for the army with my hubby as long as you can support and love your child you will be fine:)
dont dis man, i got preg at 16 !. we are just as good as any other parent older than us,. just coz were young dont mean to say we cant have a baby !. i been with my fiance for 8 years ! and we felt it was time for a baby yes i WANTED it, dont be such a fucking nobed !. me n him n baby are going strong!, and shes the most amazin thing that ha ever happened to me!. oplus young parents have more fun !
and of course she wasn't equipped to handle the consequences but unfortunately she was FORCED to handle them....so use your brain next time you want to reply to something I say
First of all bitch....Hypocrite....who the hell are you to tell me that I'm stupid and need a degree....I have my masters and am currently working on my PhD...so how about YOU learn before you open your damn mouth....I have viewed several statistics on the situation and nobody here is smart enough to see the truth because you're all idiotic teenagers living in some kind of a dream bubble...
@JossyHaterz Right then I hope you flipping have a look again. Because am I the typical statistic no. I support myself, my sonand I have nearly finished my education. So all your statistics dont show the hard working mums who work damn hard to provide for their family whilst coming up against stereotypical, hypocritical views. If your an educated man put the facts together and realised that not EVERY teen mum is a waste of space.
It's true. When your older and stable, that's the appropraite time. The baby's dad doesn't always stay with them, and if you run out of money, what will you do then? Why do people want to run out and have baby's now when they have the rest of their lives ahead of them.
Thank you that was a great way of putting it. And I completley agree. I do wish that I had had my little man later on in life, But it didnt happen like that. So I am just being the best mum I can :D
doesnt matter how old u guys re its scary im 19 nd nearly 6mnths let ppl run their mouths hey u still av ur bby at d end of d day right??ur d 1 raising him/her.. not nobody else so thank d well wishers nd ignore d haters after all dey act alot younger than any of u guys xxx gratz every1 my advice? uve came this far dnt give up 4 nothin or no body coz ull b great mums nd dads hezz200 gratz gurl hes beautiful all my luv 2 u guys xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
i'm 17 as well and im taking a pregnancy test today you look a lot happier than me lol i dont have a man but my baby doesnt need the guy i was with. congrats to you guys :)
im only just 3 months pregnant at the moment, only 14 =S but i plan to be a good mum and do i'll whatever i can to bring my baby up well. need to tell my boyfriend, weve been together a year, but hes been away for the last month. not sure how he'll react. xx
did you miss any pills because I have and before my boyfriend says he believes in abortion but is up to me (thought I could have been pregnant before)
my sister in law to be is 14 & pregnant, im disapointed in her, but life goes on and im so proud of her for her strength, i already love my little unborn niece isabella, whoever wants to sit here & talk sh*t about teenage mothers, please honestly tell me you have never mad a decision or even mistake that others have not been happy about or approved of & then maybe we will talk. to all the teenage mothers out there. i send all my love to you. yall are so strong thankyou for doing the right thing
I dont care who you were talking to. That is disresepctful and nasty. At least they dont go runninng off to flippin abortion clinics. At least they take responsibilty for what they have done
I know a lasy who had a son a 14 and she is now married with a lovely hubby and house
So like I said dont judge until you have been there yourself
I think the miracle of life is amazing and it doesn't matter what age you are, if you show this much love then youll make the best parent in the world.
Which part of 'going to uni' denotes that she is dumb whitecastlerocks? Your comment is xtremely uncalled for and naive.
Wishing you and your partner and little prince all the best hezz200
WFT How dare u judge Whitecastlerocks ? have u walked in her shoes if not stay out of it ..you must have a sad pathetic life to make comments like that ...being a young mum and going to uni is something to be proud of ...much better then the dirty tramps that use abortion as contraception ...but hey u don't fit into either of those categories do you whitecastlerocks ? cos your so ugly u hide behind a computer and are jealous because nobody would dream of sleeping with you
My mum was there when I did the pregnancy test. She always knew whe I was due so she got me the test when I was late. She was dissapointed but now she loves him more than anything and So proud that im still going to uni
Wow : )) So Cute and beautifull im actually crying!!!! , Im sure your son is sooo cute and Girls will fall for him :)) Just watch those girls ^^ :P Take care of the little one :) I have a feeling you two will be perfect parents :) Take care of yourself and that little one :) . Congrats :)
oh and just incase anyone wants to post that im on benefits im not at all i have a wonderful boyfriend who is fantastic with my daughter, (he works) and i work aswell as go to college, its very hard but i wouldnt ever change it and i love my little girl so much!!! not all teen mums live off benefits!
your video is lovely! i know how you feel because nearly 10months ago i gave birth to my daughter at the age of 17 and im currently still at college, just ignore the negative comments! age doesnt mean nothing when it comes to being a good parent!! and although its sooo hard it is worth every second! good luck for the future xx
This is a good video. It shows that you guys never gave up and had a abortion, I admire you for not having one, and bring him into the world. Congrads!
I did advise her to pass exams in higher education, get a career, establish a home with her partner and only when financially stable, start a family. Unfortunately this was not to be but I have supported her 100% in her decision not to abort.
So I will say the one thing that is very lacking here, congratulations on the birth of your child, and also passing the cache level 3 in childcare at college despite missing 18 weeks of your course due to maternity leave, a tremendous achievement.
I wish you, your partner and son all the best for the future and I am sure that you will eventually achieve your goal in time to study and pass your foundation degree at University, for which you have already applied.
As the father of the teen mum in question, I would just like to add my own comment to this discussion.
Firstly, nature decrees that all humans are adults as soon as they are capable of creating life. Legal restraints are in fact an aritifial limits layed down by society and have absolutely nothing to do with nature.
Now some of the small minded people start jumping down my throat say that with a parent like me it is not wonder that she is pregnant, you are wrong.
WOW,,, u are so inspiring!!!! The baby came as a surprise to you but you have made the most of your life and havnt let being a mommy stop you!!! Well Done!!! you deseve a medal and anybody who says that you dont needs there head checking out for mental disabilitys!!!! Congratz on your prince!! and he is lucky to have a mommy like you!!! xxxxx
jelouse! grow up, why would someone who didnt get pregnant at 17 be jelouse of you? if the haters were jelouse wouldnt they be trying to get pregnant?
she is 17, still legally a CHILD and you cant honestly say that people who disagree with teen pregnancy are "jealous". thats a disgusting and immature thing to think and is clearly glamourising teen pregnancy
No I don't think that people who disagree are jealous. where i live 17 is the age of consent. My child was unplanned...most are. From the moment I found out I was pregnant me and the father have been excited. This child will be wanted. Every case is individual. i am not saying I encourage teen pregnancy. I am saying i support the fact that it is a choice and the women who go through it
where i'm from the age of consent is 16 but the age to be legally an adult and stop child support is 18. Age of consent and being able to have sex does not make you an adult. i av a mate who is a teen mum. i asked her if she wud do anything like this, she said no. She has no reason to show off her daughter. she puts up pictures on her private facebook page as part of her family and thats it. she gets annoyed when girls constantly add photos, make videos etc because it is effectivly showing off
And that is her choice. But you can't give these girls shit for wanting to show off their babies...35 year olds can even when it was un-planned...and these girls have the right to as well
Congratulations! :D

No one feels sorry for teen mums. Why should they. ALL students get grants i.e the NHS pay EVERY nursing students fees. So if you have a problem with that take it up with the NHS
hezz200 2 years ago
No one feels sorry for teen mums?! Are you serious??! Ok, maybe you're a bit differenent and don't expect people to feel sorry for you, fine if that's the case. But YES, EVERYONE HAS SYMPATHY FOR TEEN MOTHERS. Everyone seems to have MORE UNDERSTANDING for them for some unknown fucking reason.
kebabqueen17 2 years ago
I have never experianced that myself. I have mostly had abuse hurled at me.
But I can see your point as people do seem to let some teen mums off a bit. For example a girl lives across the road from me, she swears and screams at her child, has late night parties with him crying outside and different men coming in and out of the house. But when I mention it to my next door neighbour I get "She is only young" AND that gives her the right to mentally abuse her child does it. So I get your point :D
hezz200 2 years ago
I know, it's the same here in the UK too......the government and the law in this country is 100% PATHETIC AND USELESS!!!!!
kebabqueen17 2 years ago
So do I wish it was stopped for people that abuse the system. I am a teen mum and I don't I want to have a good upbringing for my child. Thats why I am doing my degree.
Although I really wouldnt wish it upon anyone to have a child snatched. I wouldnt wish it on the child as that must be very traumatic for them
hezz200 2 years ago
@UltraDOG17 WHAT THE HELL!? My point is that if many young people have sex, WHY ARE THE ONES WHO FALL PREGNANT ASSUMED TO BE SLUTS?! It could be their first time, or to their boyfriend. ACCIDENTS HAPPEN! So stop being a judgmental BASTARD and get over yourself.
xsnakebiteheart 2 years ago
Actually I only get the grants every other nursing student gets the rest I have to pay like every other student. It's called using the account my parents set up for me when I was a child. And taking loans out which I have to pay back. Aww shame you dot that wrong isnt it
hezz200 2 years ago
Hahaha......yeah ok then

hezz200 2 years ago
Why would I want people to feel sorry for me. They have nothing to feel sorry about. I have a beautiful son with a succesful career on the horizon. I love my job and the nursing profession and my son. I just want people to realise that not EVERY teen mum drops out of school, is a bad mum and lives off the goverment. If they cant see that it's them I feel sorry for.

What you need to realize, is that the MAJORITY of teenagers have sex! It's a harsh truth but thats what it is, THE TRUTH!
So just because she's pregnant doesn't mean she's a slut. So why don't you grow up, and stop being stupid and ignorant.

Before I had him I was a bitch to everyone, I never listened at school BUT when I realised I was going to be a mum it made me determened to do something with my life for him.

JossyHaterz 2 years ago
@JossyHaterz MY TYPE, don't pretend you know me. Im just being realistic. Teens are going to have sex. Focus on the REAL issue which is educating teens about sex and contraception. Once the girl is already pregnant all we can do is be a loving community and offer her all the support we can, so she can continue her education and get a good job to support herself and her little one.
jennaleeyoung 2 years ago
nob ! serisouly grow up !
jemmas007 2 years ago
@JossyHaterz Dont assume Im american. Teenage pregnancy is the least of your nations problems. I think your comments are nasty. There will always be teen pregnancy all we can do is educate our children as best as we can and hope they use protection (multiple forms) but at the end of the day if they don't then we need to be there to support them. I've been through real tragedy - trust me teen pregnancy isnt one of them. there is also no need to attack these girls they are doing the best they can
jennaleeyoung 2 years ago
@JossyHaterz Your nasty. Some people meet their true love early. Nothing wrong with having sex at 16/17 its totally normal. Yeah you have to be careful, but sometimes accidents happen. But those accidents turn into little miracles. Im sure the majority of these girls wished it had happened later, but it didnt! Dont judge, support is what they need. One day when you have a child you will understand this. I had my son at 22 and I still faced stupid comments from people like you.

@zenangel924
Actually, abortion is murder whenever it's done. A baby's heart already beats by 2 months of pregnancy. Every baby deserves the chance to live.
And because teenagers are young, and there hasn't been much strain on their bodies, there's less risk than an older woman having a baby.
101blondiz101 2 years ago

First of all bitch....Hypocrite....who the hell are you to tell me that I'm stupid and need a degree....I have my masters and am currently working on my PhD...so how about YOU learn before you open your damn mouth....I have viewed several statistics on the situation and nobody here is smart enough to see the truth because you're all idiotic teenagers living in some kind of a dream bubble...
JossyHaterz 2 years ago
@JossyHaterz Right then I hope you flipping have a look again. Because am I the typical statistic no. I support myself, my sonand I have nearly finished my education. So all your statistics dont show the hard working mums who work damn hard to provide for their family whilst coming up against stereotypical, hypocritical views. If your an educated man put the facts together and realised that not EVERY teen mum is a waste of space.
hezz200 2 years ago
you're still a statistic plain and simple... and I never said waste of space...but since you so kindly came up with it...you definitely are

MacaroniPixxi 2 years ago
It's true. When your older and stable, that's the appropraite time. The baby's dad doesn't always stay with them, and if you run out of money, what will you do then? Why do people want to run out and have baby's now when they have the rest of their lives ahead of them.

500nutmeg 2 years ago
learn to spell. And stop tossing around the "little girl" comments. Alot of teen mothers (including myself) are legal fucking adults
losingsanity1190 2 years ago
she is 17, still legally a CHILD and you cant honestly say that people who disagree with teen pregnancy are "jealous". thats a disgusting and immature thing to think and is clearly glamourising teen pregnancy
500nutmeg 2 years ago
No I don't think that people who disagree are jealous. where i live 17 is the age of consent. My child was unplanned...most are. From the moment I found out I was pregnant me and the father have been excited. This child will be wanted. Every case is individual. i am not saying I encourage teen pregnancy. I am saying i support the fact that it is a choice and the women who go through it
losingsanity1190 2 years ago
where i'm from the age of consent is 16 but the age to be legally an adult and stop child support is 18. Age of consent and being able to have sex does not make you an adult. i av a mate who is a teen mum. i asked her if she wud do anything like this, she said no. She has no reason to show off her daughter. she puts up pictures on her private facebook page as part of her family and thats it. she gets annoyed when girls constantly add photos, make videos etc because it is effectivly showing off
500nutmeg 2 years ago
And that is her choice. But you can't give these girls shit for wanting to show off their babies...35 year olds can even when it was un-planned...and these girls have the right to as well
