Good cover version. It's similar to the Whiskey Daredevil's take on this tune - it's also in the style of country meets punk, but slightly faster.

The album, "Wasted... Again" is a collection, meaning all the songs on it were released before. The version of the song 'Wasted' on that album is sung by Keith Morris, the original Black Flag singer, and it doesn't have a brick pattern on the back. Do you actually even listen to Black Flag?

Yup. I haven't seen that specific album in 20 years, though. Although I do remember a lot of songs on it were re-recorded and sounded a lot different than the originals. Compare the original version of T.V. Party to the "Wasted Again" version.

Party,' In fact, the song didn't even exist before Henry was in the band. Like I said in the last comment, the original version of the song was on their fisrt album, 'Damaged' which came out in '81. Who was their singer on their singer on their first album you ask, Henry fuckin' Rollins.

ok, looked it up and the earliest recorded seems to be Black Flag from 1978. Circle Jerks recorded it in 1980. I stand corrected!

On my copy of Camper Van Beethoven's album, Telephone Free Landslide Victory, it says copyright 1985, and there are no credits given to another writer for "Wasted", which as far as I know means Camper Van Beethoven wrote it. I'm prepared to look this up online but I'm pretty sure it's their song.

Actually "hamptonio," the circle jerks do have there own version of the song wasted, look it up. though this is clearly a cover of the black flag version.

Thanks! I'll post more soon. The sound was actually really crappy from my camera mic, so I dubbed in a recording of the show a friend had made using a minidisc. It literally took 10 minutes to do with I movies!
