You're not quite in tune when you go to drop D, but you're also supposed to fine tune it after you drop it, from what I understand.

@ihatebobsaget1989 Nah, it just takes some getting used to. After a while you just know what to expect and what to do. It takes me about 5 minutes longer to restring and tune Floyd Rose than Tune-O-Matic.

@ihatebobsaget1989in my experience wch is about 10 yrs. worth of playing. nothing beats the real thing, but if you just want to ignore it all together i suppose you could do that. I had a Digitech RP350 guitar effects pedal that had a whammy pedal included and it was good, but i really listened to the difference between the dive bomb on the digital pedal compared to a real trembelo and it' just didn't get the job done like i wanted it was realy muddy and sounded like shit so i dont recommend it

@ihatebobsaget1989 Next time you you restring and tune your guitar, run the strings backwards. Leave the ball on the string run it through the tuner, through the nut, give it a few turns in the tuning peg for justifiability. Cut the length at the clamp on the Floyd rose stick it in and tune it up, lock the nut down. My FR is blocked and has heavier springs than stock. I can dive on the "bowflex" til the strings are floppy loose and it comes back in tune EVERY TIME!

If you look at all 3 guitars side by side, the Peavey is very different from the Music Man. The Fender is just a copy of the Peavey.

Ed always gets credit for both designs but, in truth, had very little to do with either. He OK'd the designs but didn't actually contribute much beyond his name and likeness to the marketing programs.

Someone at MM designed the Axis and Jim DeCola designed the Wolfgang.

You may have sold Peavey gear but, chances are, you didn't build any of it.

The design was finished and the guitars were started a week before the pics in the Monitor article were shot.

The guitars Jim DeCola had designed and built to various stages of completion were used as props for the photo shoot.

Ed OK'd Jim's original design and eventually OK'd the pickups that went in it. Other than that, it was all Jim.

I'm not trying to knock Paul's playing, and I know being EVH's guitar this thing is supposed to shred, but it'd be nice if Paul would slow down on some parts so we can hear the tone of the individual notes and some chords. By all means, shred on some parts but give us some half or quarter notes and chords at each setting as well so we can hear it the sound of the guitar without the interference of playing imperfections and a rapid picking attack. It seems like an awesome guitar.

@lolvids2 The Special is made in Japan and has a flat body. It is a production guitar. The EVH custom is made in the Fender custom shop in California and has a contoured body. I have the custom shop and it is really a hot guitar. It is the best guitar I have ever played and I have been playing a long time !!!!
