I've seen the whole rainymood thing on several videos all over YouTube. The dude's not a genius, guys. Just try The Only Exception by Paramore, All My Heart by Sleeping With Sirens, Set Fire to the Rain by Adele, and several others. You can go to the RainyMood thing on YouTube and read the comments to see some other songs that work well with it. It's not a revelation.

That said, rainy mood does do well with this song. But it's a great song regardless.
