  • that child, good for Leon's childhood model for Resident evil movie =)

  • Sarah connor looks EXACTLY like jillian Michaels.

  • at that range, the instantaneous radiation pulse would've killed you stone dead before the thermal wave fried you ... that is, if you weren't completely vaporised

  • @warmonger12z this is just sarahs dream and not reality though. so it doesn't neccessary have to be the correct way in her dream since she might not know the full details of a nuclear blast.

  • GIEF!

  • We shouldn't fear the machines, we should fear other people

  • Fuck los angeles...

  • @712maggot nah i'd rather see San francisco

  • (A sense of sarcasm is required to red the following)

Common, what were they thinking? Forcing Schwarzenegger to do labour!!?!?!?!??!

  • This movie is the best Sci Fiction Action film ever made and always will be Correct???

  • Ed furlong and actor mike bein look they are related.

  • "I wish I could have met my real dad."

    "You will."

    "Yeah, I guess. When I'm like 45 I think."

  • i mean 00:50

  • 1:50 i want one

  • holy shit

  • @benjebb holy shit is correct sir...

  • I only listen from 3:37- 4:20 something about that part just makes me tingle.

  • I swear, Sarah's dream is one of the best, and most shocking of, moments in movie-making history.

The sheer shock of everyone dying from a nuclear explosion, such a dramatic effect...

Thank god it isn't like that in real life; You die instantaneously if you are within 1-3 miles of the blast, so...

  • @2345Disciple thank god people didn't make nuclear weapons.....oh wait.

  • @2345Disciple

Not always. There were "survivors" in the thermal blast radius at Hiroshima/Nagasaki. I recall a picture, a man with no eyes, nose, hair, or lips. His mouth was somewhat crooked. He had stubs for hands, nearly all fingers being either amputated or fused together. First time I saw him, I thought he was some kind of movie prop.

So no, you don't die instantly. The dream is fairly accurate.

  • @shimazu32 I was overexaggerating a bit;

With temperatures of up to 1.5 million degrees farenheit at the epicenter of the blast, I'm sure that anyone in the immediate vicinity of the blast radius would not have survived; according to the records, around 97% of those within 0-500 feet of the blast (Starting from the ground spreading outward, bomb detonated mid-air) were killed. Possibly instantly. Those that weren't killed were inside secure households. Then again, they were still hurt.

  • @2345Disciple Nerd alert.

  • I love the Terminator series, but one thing I dont get is who is John Connors real father, real as in before time travel was made possible?

  • THIS SHIT OWNS

  • Linda Hamilton was never more beautiful than in this movie.Jim Cameron owes her much more than a 50 mil divorce settlement.

  • Sarah is like the Queen Mother of all survivalists in this movie. I mean, who has that much hardware cached away for the end of the world? Puts my collection to shame.

Now I want a hidden underground room full of military ordnance too. ^_^

  • @ghostboy84 It's expensive but not impossible to have an underground shelter for your family and gear. I'm turning my g/f into Sarah Connor! Bought her a 9mm and put an M4 in her hands and presto! Gotta LOVE a hot babe in full tac gear and armed to the teeth! :)

  • @hrdknox2000 Man, that's kind of scary...

  • Do you guys know that if this ever happens for real... that.....were fucked?

  • imagine if this happens, the whole world wiped off the map:(

  • 3 people are having a bad day because they aren't wearing 2 million sunblock.

  • Thumbs up if you've had a nuclear war dream similar to Sarah Connor's

  • @neil73 Growing up as a child in the 80's I used to imagine I was hearing Civil Defense sirens going off at night.

  • there are a mistake in the scene when Sarah uses the knife in the table. She starts withthe sunglasses and inmediately after she doesn´t wear it

  • @Matacabrones lolll)))))))

  • sarah love m16

  • How can a terminator be so good? More like a Befriendinator.

  • 1:06 makes me think of Lara Croft for some reason. Maybe it's the vest, shades and weapons.

  • this film is the best film that has ever been made i love it

  • Of course the fucking minigun is what makes Terminator crack his first genuine smile.

  • I remember seeing this scene as a kid and it still freaks me out.

  • LOL ..... 0:57 ....... hilarious smile

  • OMG! Linda Hamilton is SO F-ing HOT in this movie!!! Wanna smother her in gravy and sop her up wit a biscuit!!!!

  • sarah conner looks like my sister rachel lol

  • Terminator 3 had the advantage of 12 years advancement in the field of CGI and special effects...

but you couldn't tell when comparing their cheesy nuclear scenes with this masterpiece.

  • that's a so powerful and great scene even if this movie is 19

  • I remember when this first came up!

  • Arnold speaks so little in the Terminator films yet he manages to maintain an excellent role in all 3 movies.

    "Hasta la vista, baby!"

  • Linda H. is so HOT in this flick....

  • @ewetoobie Yep! She sure made ME wanna become a survivalist! LOL!

  • Even though we can't hear her, I know what Sarah is saying in her dream.

Here's what she says by reading her lips.

    "No."

    "No! Damn it, run!"

    "Run!"

    "Please, stop it!"

    "Run home!"

If you watch her mouth, that's what she says.

  • @Godzillaman I think its more along the lines of " I cant stop it!" or "we cant stop it!" meaning prevent the war from happening.

  • lol, I love Arnold

    "Excellent"

    "No Problemo"

  • 01:16 when Terminator picks up that gun and says, "excellent" is for me, the greatest moment in all of movie history!

  • Sorry, I meant 00:16 !

  • the transformation of the Sarah Connor character between T1 and T2 is excellent.

  • why do you cry?

  • i wish i have the bunker like that

  • Hydrodgen bombs do not have nuclear fallout, making them less deadly AFTER the explosion. The primary explosion is still bigger than an atomic bombs.

  • chip is safe with me

  • sara was bad . terminator it the best. our troops in iraq and afgan use the mini gun.and the flying drones that wack the taliban. r machines. but not from sky net

  • Thats definitely you. best scene ever.

  • lol "excellent"

  • Sarah Conner's nightmare has always struck me as truly one of the most haunting scenes in motion picture history.

  • @packets1 Yeah, and in all the other Terminator movies to follow, all the nuke graphics look cheesy and fake like cartoons or something. I wonder why they wouldn't have paid more attention to the end war in T3. The missile launch looked really good and realistic. But the bombs in the begining and the end looked like a crappy cartoon or something.

  • @packets1 seeing that scene as a kid was worse than watching Freddy Krueger. Cameron captured horror and abomination far better than Wes Craven.

  • @packets1 yes, it is the most horrific nightmare...the way she continues screaming even after her skin is gone....

  • @packets1 ya me to, because that is a real image that has happend before

  • @packets1 it definitely set the tone for the entire movie. I also respect the fact that Sarah buffed the hell out. I know of a mom whom had a punctured lung yet drove miles to a hospital after fending off a guy with a knife, all to protect her children. far to many Hollywood movies take the bullshit woman screaming while the man protects them route. this movie was far more realistic about it.

  • terminator 2 if i had to watch it or do anything i want i rather watch it was the best movie of history!

  • wuut? 0.o

  • i dont know about everyone else....but i find sarah ridiculously hot!!!!

  • back then, yes she was. now shes a bit wrinkly =(

  • mmmmmm momma

  • fuck number two was the best.

    1. terminator 2 judgment day

    2. the terminator

    3. terminator salvation

    4. terminator 3

    C/P THIS IF YOU AGREE

  • id say Terminator 1 is the best, more suspense, better written (less one liners). better acted.

all round a scarier film, as the films should be Man against Machine, not Machine against Machine plus afew usless people.

but my order so far T1, T2, T3, (havent seen 4)

  • Although T3 was bad, I still think that if I give it 5/10, i'd give TS 3/10

  • mmm i like the minigun robots

  • It's T-1000 not T-100. Your T-100 description had me searching google for almost 20 minutes man...

  • Haha, inconsistency! At 6:49 how can the explosion's force turn multiple buildings into dust, but only severely bend the palm trees???

  • puhlease study ur physics and chemistry...

  • im pretty sure that the chemicals in trees are different than that of concrete

  • And I'm pretty sure that chemicals in hard, solid, old concrete are much stronger than those in trees (which are mostly water).

  • That bitch needs to quit taking naps on an empty stomach

  • heys its t-1000 not t-100 in the desription

  • 3:37 is such a vital aspect in the series' storyline, in that it's philosophical. It's ironic that out of all the possible fathers for children, a machine, a Terminator no less, would pretty much be the perfect choice for a parent. Because machines' programming, especially Terminators', are so perfect that it would uphold paternal values that no would-be father could ever hope to match up to.

  • I agree with you.one of the best monoluges ever

  • Not really. It isn't because of their "perfect" programming, it's because a machine, something that it is programmed to kill, that doesn't have any feelings at all, is the best choice for a father. This scene is important in the movie, because it is like an attack, or a critique, to human behavior, since we have become a violent species that have learned to destroy ourselves, as Sarah mentioned "In an insane world, it was the sanest choice."

  • This scene confused me. What does John mean when there's nothing wrong with you but you're hurt anyways?

  • He means you're not wounded or having any kind of physical injury, but it just hurts inside.. you know, broken heart and stuff.

  • Yes, but what they did was take an extremely advanced neural net processor and switch it so that the machine, originally designed to kill humans, would serve the Resistance. And the chip can even be set so the AI can learn, and because of the technology used to conceive the processor, its ability to learn is incredible.....so, imagine the possibilities of such an advanced AI learning like that.

  • @dave55811 - moron

  • It is not understandable that the T-101 smiles or gets pissed off... supposedly it is a machine without feelings.

  • But this scene is later on in the movie after they have reset his cpu and turned back on his learning devices (scene in Directors Cut) so he learns how to smile and such

  • So many subliminal messages in this movie.

  • You get it?...No.

  • 3:29 terminator's face looks angry!

  • I thought the Terminator looked sad. x3

  • I love the part where she has day dream about earth getting destoryed but secary imagine that happens in real life one day ;p

  • Why can't this happen to Ann Coulter or Michelle Malkin?

  • Probably won't happen. They would probably be prepared and those who are not prepared will get cooked. Those who assumed radicals in the middle east will give up their arms and like the US just because we are "nicer" will be nailed first. I don't see Coulter or Malkin as people who would be unprepared for such an attack. Even if I disagree with them at times.

  • When exactly did Slapping Five become Uncool?

It was something that ruled my Childhood!

    Gimme Five!

    On the Side!

    Up High!

    Down Low!

    Ha Ha, Too slow!

No one does it anymore! This day and age is so boring!

  • There has been a flip-flop, the sheep are winning.

  • Good point. I guess you and I are "old-timers".

Borat does high-fives, like when his wife dies, but looking at the bigger picture, high-fives are a rare thing in social norms now. :/

  • i remember watching that nuke part when i was kid...gave me nightmares lol

  • yeh me too, i didn't know about nukes at the time

  • Always CLOSE my eyes during that part. It IS the message of the movie, but MY GOSH it is scary. US Nuclear testing labs unofficially declared T2 "one of the most accurate depitctions of a nuclear blast ever created." --take from the T2 box set

  • well that settles it then if the US Nuclear test labs said that! Wow, i would love to see how they made this scene

  • it was mostly done with miniatures for the cars being thrown around and stuff. but i dont find it that realistic because the heat would be that intense in the first second most things would be dust even at the distance sarah was at

  • so an actual hydrogen bomb is actually worse? Wow, thats insane, i saw pictures of the Tsar bomb the russians made and i heard the mushroom cloud was some 40 miles wide

  • yes it would be far worse depending on the megaton yield. tsar bomba was 57 MT and that is more powerful than all explosives used in ww2 put together including fat man and little boy, usa's nukes. and just think they were going to make it 100 MT but they didnt know if it would permanently damage the earth so they optted to halve it. anthing within 100 km (62 miles) of the explosion would get 3rd degree burns. it was 40 miles high and 25 wide and the fireball alone was 5 miles in diameter

  • the worse thing about hidrogen bombs, is the thermal effect.

You get blind if you saw its light.

  • It's a dream ...........

  • i was explaining to a guy who asked a question so piss off idiot i know its just a dream and its also just a movie

  • The only idiot around here is you. End of story.

  • Yeah, but so long as you duck and cover, you'll still be fine.

    Right?...

  • hahahahahahahahah.yeah that was probable what went wrong with 9/11 they all forgot to duck and cover

  • If schools tell you so, then it MUST be true. o:

  • damn were all in the same boat here I felt the same way.

  • Parts of this scene reminds me of a scene in "Under Fire".

  • NO FATE

    5:22 to the end

that scared me until now it's seems to be real.. i imagine that is happening in the real life..damn

  • If you listen closely at around 1:49 you can hear Arnie grunt with effort.

    Are Teminators programed for that?

  • Doubtful. Maybe Arnie's grunt was part of his capacity for learning to he can become "more human".

  • lol

  • wow um.... i hope da usa never gets nuked

  • same hear or the UK

  • Same for Canada...

  • It's interesting the way they did that. Sarah looks at the Mexican couple playing with their kid with the blazing setting sun behind them, and it obviously makes her think of the nuclear holocaust. So then she sleeps and has this nightmare.

  • i wonder if the terminators could survive a nuclear blast?

  • Electro-magnetic pulse would melt their circuitry :P

  • One second before she wakes up I totally see the skeleton's tongue flapping. Always did lol.

  • Actually, I think that's a piece of flesh burning.

  • I love this movie so much.

  • It never ceases to put a beaming expression on my face at the part where John says: "That's definitely you...!" XD lol Thanks a lot for putting this great scene up CAPTALANHOBBS. :D

  • I hope Terminator Salvation has the same eerie feeling as Terminator 2, non-stop action, and scaryness like this part, and darkness all over with a glimpse of hope.

  • dont get too excited.

    its gonna be a crap,probably

    no cameron=shit

  • of coarse it was crap compared to T2, it wan't directed by james cameron, his production quality is as good as ridley scott why do you think Aliens was a good sequel

  • One of the best films Ive watched. Personally I think Terminator 3 is terrible in comparison.

  • i have to agree for it is very true! :D

  • Excellent.

  • that whole scean was cut down by at least 50 sec. still arni with that GE is a beauty full sight!!!

  • The part were Sarah is burning is a deleted scene on USA channel

  • This movie has true non-stop action.

  • They could have taken better weapons then what they did.

  • for sure amazing!! rip terminater!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is THE best film ever.

  • The Sarah that is playing with her child in the park is Linda Hamilton's twin sister Leslie.

  • did you know that in the scene where shes taking the bullits out of him, thats not really him, its a dummy, and theirs a "reflection". well that "reflection" was her sister, and the Arnold sitting in a regular glass window. i was blown away when i watched that making of~

  • Yeah I knew that as well. I was blown away when I found out also!

  • What a crazy dream! Especially when Sarah's flesh was burnt off and she was a skeleton! *shivers*

  • when the terminator is fixing the truck why does he use wrenches I mean if he is so strong he doesn't need them right

  • if he cant reach them with hes fingers?

  • Well I've seen what he was working on and practically anyone can reach tham lol but great point.

  • I think when Sarah and John activate his learning ability, i think the Terminator was trying to learn how to fix the truck with wrenches so it can be this reason too =P

Btw Sarah's dream scared the shit out of me when i was a kid watching this =(

  • Oh man me too. I couldn't figure out what was going on I didn't understand nuclear weapons. All I knew was everybody was getting seriously burned and turned to either skeletons or dust.

  • awesome
