@ruskinarms1 Well, I did see a TV interview in which he did say that he dug the Saturdy Night Fever sound track , .. he just wouldn't let anyone know it at the time. And I've also seen old ohotos of him at Studio 54 !
So If Alice hates disco.. Does that mean Vince Loves disco?... ie.. Alice hates golf.. yet vince is a golf Addict... Such a great sense of humor either way.. The true showman..
I'm a fan of both disco music n Alice Cooper as I have a broad taste in music genres, gonna see Alice Cooper on the 18th this month in my home town, he's gonna rock! Whilst I'm a fan of disco I thought Alice Cooper's stunt was very amusing n cool, that bassist can slap bass very well.
Disco really DOES suck!!! I'm a dancer and I love the new disco moves, it's more energy and more happiness into it. The old dusco... I mean... omg... who came up with it?! It SUCKS!!!! Rock n roll is just... wow! Rock n roll has it all!!!! Alice Cooper are my biggest hero!!! I LOVE YOU MAN! ;D
XD I was definitely reminded. And here I was thinking, how original Jimmy is, and then I hear Alice say "If I were a girl, he'd be my favorite bass player, cuz he's so good-looking..." and I think, Oh. Alice ROCKS EVEN MORE THAN I THOUGHT <3
Alice HATES DISCO!!!! yea, and alice rocks! 'specially when he's imitating "your parents at home" doing disco. and, yea, how he doesn't talk, he yells! I HATE DISCO!!!
Also, Alice was known to have hung out in Studio 54 in the seventies, and I've seen photos that prove it. To Oimagnostic; try 'We Got'a Dance and 'Wish You Were Here.
Well I beleived that the disco bashing thing was just part of Alices persona just like the necrophilia, satanism, crazines, greaspaint, boaconstrictor and everthing. You know, just more theatrical posturing. I mean most everything he did was a pute-on. And,as previously noted, hes done some disco songs himself and has even cited The Bee Gees as one of his favorite groupes, so he could'nt have realy hated disco so much.
He said that he hated disco in this clip from 1979,but he had a disco song called "no more love at your convience" on his "lace and whiskey" album in 1977,and another disco song called "you gotta dance" on his "goes to hell" album in 1976....
Great Alice ! In the Special Forces tour, we can hear that Alice also hates the blues...I hope all those great videos will be available on dvd one day...thank you for posting
Prakash John actually lives in my general area, and does alot of local playing. I've met him quite a few times when he was playing bass with Mike Branton. You gotta see his kid play drums though, holy crap, its amazing. If your in the Hamilton/Burlington/Oakville/Toronto arear, try to find one of their gigs. Completely worth it
class cheers! seen the man in melbourne a few weeks ago, the show was great and i caught a very short word with him afterwards, so i was on cloud 99. a class act!!!!
