I know the little "deep dee deep deep deep deep" was always in the music for the News Flash segments, but played over Kermit's angry rant at the end, it sounds like censor bleeps. :D
Does anyone remember the Muppet News Flash in which Kermit asks the lady, "Are you the princess in distress?" and she responds,"Does this look like a pant suit?"
Honest to God Kermit don't take it personally! What do you expect in the big city? People are always on the move; things to do, places to go. Maybe they can't spare even a few seconds but that's life. Get ahold of yourself, will ya?
I feel like Kermit everytime I see Elmo on Sesame Street these days. Bring back the glory days of Sesame Street with a special channel for it (and other older PBS kid shows)...and air the programs @ night...since TPTB say the older episodes are controversial and not for today's youth. : p
I, too haven't seen this in ages either and still think it's hilarious! HAHAHAHAHA1 I mean the way he goes off like that in the end, it's so godamn funny! HAHAHAHA! Temper, temper Kermit. LOL!
When I saw this as a child, when Kermit was yelling "cut" I thought he was telling people to stop walking by, but now I realise he was talking to his camera crew, right?
Sure he does. But maybe the reason why he shushed him was because he was in a hurry to do the Interview on the Street presenting questions about what it is that makes people angry. So Kermit wasn't paying attention to what he said to the police officer, even though Kermit knew what he was supposed to say to him.
I wonder why they had the music and the announcer, but not the title card. I especially like it at the end when the announcer says "That's all the time we have today for Kermit The Frog."
Kermit was probably swearing when they ended it.

The one guy looks a little like Dilberts co-worker. At least the same hairstyle.

Freaky, but funny. I remember seeing this back in 1990. And this is the first time I am seeing this again, since then.

If Kermit was that ticked off, then he should have hit the blue guy with his microphone.

The moral of this sketch is that if people would take some time to talk to each other, then there would be a lot less anger in this world.
DaveJ721 4 years ago 13
Good observation, I totally agree. It makes me angry when people won't listen to you when you try to talk to them.

@setheurovision94
Too many people are like that. Big cities, especially, are not very close-knit.

Funny he talks to a cop just before the interview.
It be funny if at the end he order Kermit to stop yelling and Kermit won't.
Then he says alright come with me you can tell about being argry at the jail.
MIKECNW 4 years ago
Then Kermit would realize he did get angry, and his assignment was to find out what makes people angry.
Jamiepeavler 4 years ago
I don't think Kermit has to tell us why he's angry i think he's demonstrating and expressing it real well.
RIP Jim Henson a true puppeteer.

Kermit should've said to the police officer: "Pardon me."

Here's one thing that makes Kermit angry: When people he tries to interview don't have time to answer Kermit's questions in his interview! lol

I love it when Kermit gets angry! But I wonder what he was yelling to the cameraman? I hope it wasn't foul language! :P
wiley207 4 years ago
Why do you suppose Kermit never realized that HE was the one who got angry?
Jamiepeavler 4 years ago
Probably 'cause everyone on the street was in a hurry to get to where they're going?
