  • Soundproofing a room can be really tricky. I am working on trying to reduce the sound of air blowing through the heat vents and the fans from the computer. Right now I just turn off the air, but that is not the best solution.

  • do you have videos on the ventilation fans yet?

  • @edjorthebeast Not yet!

  • Peace maker....hmmm, foam? ;D

  • egg box's naild to the wall does the same thing

  • @cyberjackcyberjack Thanks for your comment. Actually, it's completely opposite. Our Peacemaker is designed to block the sound from sound traveling into the rooms, and is typically installed behind drywall such like this video. However, our Sheets are comparable to the egg crate foam you typically see. However, ours is eco-friendly, extremely effective and easy to install. It's a temporary fix too, whereas you'll need to glue crates to the wall. Give a call or CHAT with us! Tnx again!

  • Great stuff. I love this kinda stuff

  • @soundproofingaroom Hey! Thanks for your comment. What are you doing in your space? We're at your service if you wish to call, chat or email us! Thanks again.

  • Hi, i have a drum practice/ recording room that im working on. it's approx. 12'x12', with one wall being an exterior wall (block and 1 window) that i am not planning to treat. I want to reduce the sound to the rest of the house. re-doing the existing drywall is not an option, and i have already purchased some soundboard (furtex) that i plan to put over the walls, and it looks like shit so i need some foam to put over and to reduce sound. will peacemaker work to just put over soundboard?

    thanks

  • @jacko767 Hey, thanks for your comment. I would actually go with our Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets or the Deluxe Wall Coverings. Both are exceptional in reducing sound pressure levels in a space. This will help create clarity of sound, enabling you to be a better musician. I'm happy to be of service if you wish to call or chat with us on the web. Feel free to visit us at the above website. Talk soon!

    THANKS!

  • Hi, I live on the 2nd floor of an apartment building, downstairs below me is a club/restaurant that blasts loud music, how do I block the noise that is coming through from the downstairs ceiling to my apartment? THe noise is loud and sometimes that is vibration too. The owner of the restaurant/club is not wiling to do anything about the noise. Should I put sheetrock on my floor to block the noise? What materials would I need and how would I do this?

  • @Maxgaga1 Hey there. Thanks for your response and question! Talk with your landlord immediately. Unfortunately, there isn't much you could do since you are renting. If your landlord agrees to do any type of sound controlling in your apartment, he'll need to replace your floors. Give us a call so we can discuss further, especially if your landlord can help! That's always a plus, right?

  • its more like a 44 not a 40. how come you didnt show the final result????and that lady was no costumer! she was an actor.

  • Okay this in america

what could you recommend for me

    who is from the uk??

  • Woudln't fiberglas insulation R-13 insulation work as well? maybe even be cheaper? That looks like a hollow core door. Wouldn't a solid core door be better?

  • There was no use for a solid core door since our Peacemaker was used. Peacemaker helps reduce low end frequencies throughout the server room so the solid core door was not necessary. We did use a little strip of Peacemaker leftover on the bottom of the door since there was some air seeping out, meaning more sound out. R13 is excellent, but again, there was no use for it since it's just a server room. You can use it when constructing houses, garages or recording studios. Call us!

  • Hey im looking to sound proof my room and i saw a video were you just put these pads on the wall? what were those? and would they work for some soundproofing?

  • It's our Peacemaker sound barrier, made from recycled tires and used in a variety of applications to block sound. Give us a call at 866-505-6883 and we can discuss your own application!

  • Is it possible to build some kind of small cubes to sound proof objects?

  • @WickedKnight07 yea! like my wifes head!

  • @WickedKnight07 air flow but yes

  • @pablpfanque +1 on the hollow cored. Would have made a pretty big difference.

  • Would'nt more density allow less sound to penetrate?

  • But of course! That's why we used the 3.2mm rather than the 6.4mm, since it's more dense. Read on and view some more vids for details. Give a call too. We're happy to help in any way we can.

  • Actually, thicker doesn't necessarily mean better. It all depends on the application and the frequency you are dealing with. Thicker products, like our Peacemaker 6.4mm, often are designed to tackle vibration instead of noise transmission. Sound can be confusing so give us a call if you have any other questions - we'd be glad to help! 866-505-6883

  • Audimute: I'm considering purchasing your product but I want to know the results before spending the money. Why don't you post a video of a outside noise transmission (measured by a dB meter) of a average house with sound levels comparable to those generated by a band? Then provide an after treatment video. Granted, your before and after of the soundabsorption was convincing. Why not one with your Peacemaker? I might be willing to make one for a discount :)

  • Hey! Stay tuned. We're starting to implement new videos describing our Peacemaker insulation. We're happy to help. Give us a call anytime. 866 505 6883.

  • Great. I just treated just the exterior walls to my practice space (thought I'd try it). Honestly, I couldn't find a more cost effective solution. I can still hear some of the lower frequencies outside but just barely can hear over the ambient noise from the road. Once I get the money, I'll treat the whole room.

  • I can hear a volume drop. Assuming that this hasn't been faked, what type of door did you use?

I guess that the door doesn't have a rubber decoupler inside so surely the noise can be transmitted through the door? This would mean that the rubber decoupler used in the wall is largely a waste of time because you have an area the size of the door where the sound will transmit easily.

The soundproof quality will only be as good as the door construction.

  • You're right about the door. It doesn't have any rubber Peacemaker inside. The server room before the Peacemaker was inside the walls was extremely bothersome to those who worked near it. Now that Peacemaker is installed, they have noticed a definite improvement of the sound quality around them. They can now focus and finally hear themselves think. If you have any questions, please feel free to call us. We're happy to discuss! 866 505 6883

  • If you get trapped in a hidden, soundproof and electromagnetically insulated chamber, let me know.

  • whats this material smell like?is it a strong smell? and can it be painted on? TY

  • It's all synthetic rubber. It will have a slight smell of rubber but I wouldn't be too worried about it. You must place it behind drywall for it to work effectively. I would not paint it as it will be pointless to have a soundproofing agent on your walls. Will you be able to create an airtight space by creating a new wall? Let me know! I'm happy to help. Call us at 866 505 6883 for more details or visit our website!

  • i live near railroad tracks and the train horn can disrupt my sleeping patterns. is there something i can do other than move (which isn't really feasible right now)?

  • Are you able to install between the walls? I would recommend building a new wall over the existing to control the reverberations that are caused from the railroad. Visit our website for more details audimutesoundproofing!

  • Now that the server room is soundproof, you should put in an industrial air conditioner. Your servers are sensitive to heat. You need to keep them cold in a room that small or they will fail. Think sound-proof refrigerator for a total solution to your sound problem. Otherwise, you sacrifice your company's data for silence.

  • We make sure we tell all of our customers, if they build a server room, to have cool ventilation such as an AC unit. We have one in our office and the AC runs 24/7 because it gets super hot.

  • It wouldn't completely cut out all noise, but definitely about 50-70%. It will block those mid and high range frequencies as well as the low, which are extremely hard to diminish. Please call so we can discuss further. Thanks! 866 505 6883

  • Hi, i live in a town home and i play drums i was wondering if this product would completely cut out all noise from my drums if i put behind insulated dry wall in my attic (where i play)?

  • my neighbor is very noisy.

is it good to put up in my room (ceiling and wall) to reduce his noise?

  • Peacemaker is effective for this, but typically it is installed behind drywall. I am not sure if this is possible. If you own, build out the wall and include Peacemaker w/ your solution. Call our experts as to how to do this. If you rent, use can Peacemaker directly on the walls. It adds mass to the structure very effectively. However, most renters use Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets instead due to the convenience of price and portability. Call 866-505-6883 We want you to be successful.

  • do u deliver 2 the uk? i rli wanna get sum....

  • aboslutely amazing Audimute. i used this in my garage for band practice then layered with your blankets and it just sounds so great! it really does enable better musicianship! THANKS!!!!!!!

  • About how much is this stuff?

  • Prices range from 48-105 per roll depending on thickness. Each roll covers 50 sq. ft. Call us at 866.505.6883

  • i might check this out me and my band are looking to sound proof a garage

  • Give us a call (866-505-6883) and we can further discuss your existing structure and needs. We can help determine what will work for you.

  • glad you are happy. thanks for sharing your great experience with our product!

  • I recently purchased peacemaker for my home theater and it works amazingly well. We installed in the walls as well as the ceiling (my daughter's room is above the theater). No complaints from my daughter (at least about the noise!). Great product, great price, nice people to deal with!
