  • Love this moment. It was like something out of a movie. That call was pure honesty because no one could believe what they were seeing!

  • Great call.. Buck was the best, and a total professional.. You can hear the utter shock in his voice, but he still remembers to tell you what happened ("and the Dodgers have won the game, 5-4").. It's a shame everybody cuts the audio at this point, because Buck, in total shock says "I can't believe what I just saw," twice... "I can't believe what I just saw... I CAN'T BELIEVE what I just saw!"..

  • @roo7227 Correction.. "I don't believe what I just saw".. How did I get that wrong?.. LOL..

  • Damn it edgehead, quit talking shit. You make us other giants fans look like fucking pricks. I am a die hard giants fans but this moment is easily one of the greatest in world series history. Can we just enjoy it rather than argue about a year that has already passed? Grow up guys. Responding to a shit talker is just as bad as shit talking itself so just ignore the guy.

  • All of you Dodger fans do not argure with a moron Giant fan just tell him....

    5 to 1........case closed

  • The Giants with their horrible offense still finished the season with a better record than the Dodgers. Bwahahahahahahahaha!

  • fuck this vin scully is better

  • I'm really Philipa1, but NEVER MIND! We were all watching the game, in Berkeley, where we live, and when Gibson hit that home run, everyone but me covered their faces. Silence, till I said: DID YOU SEE WHAT THAT INJURED MAN JUST DID?!>?! And of course againt Eckersley---that made it super fantastic! I lover the As, and I REALLY loved Eckersley--but I know baseball history when I see it being made.....YEAH!

  • nevermind....the more i listen to it.....he def says "Dodgers". For so long it sounded like Tigers to me....oh well.

  • "The Tigers have won the game 5-4....I don't believe what I just saw!!" hahahha The Dodgers won!!

  • I can't believe that no has NOTICED that Jack Buck said that Gibson "has won it for the TIGERS" hahaha Definitely not the Tigers!!!

  • This is the highly overrated moment in baseball, who cares a walk off home run to win a game big deal, that happens in almost every world series and no one acknowledge that.

  • Jack Buck's call is superior. Most video clips have Buck's call instead of Scully's.

  • What if the unbelievable didn't happen? History will be made. October is coming up!

  • I don't really hate the angels. They're kind of a number two team for me. Maybe it's just me. I also feel like dodgers fans weren't dicks like this 2 years ago when the giants sucked and dodgers were making runs

  • @adonley33 how about THIS year, when they nearly beat that guy to death on opening day at the dodgers stadium parking lot?

  • NO WAY Jack Buck's call will EVER compare with the call of VIN SCULLY ...

  • um no i think the yankees own the greatest moments considering the players they had.

  • Still gives me goosebumps every time I hear, "I don't believe...what I just saw!!". I am a die hard Red Sox fan over here, but as a fan of the game this is one of THE best moments ever.

  • jack buck was a class act and great announcer his son joe fuckface sucks

  • I believe what I just didn't see.

  • Pretty cool, but no video? Joe Carter's homer has to be better. I'm a Tigers fan and it hurts me to say that.

  • Featured on TV Tropes! =D

  • Those who have been waiting for another Dodger title since '88...just wait longer!

  • The DODGERS own one of the Greatest moments in World Series History! I

  • Edge, the bay area and LA fans have always been rivals. I have two Uncles, 2 Aunts and 6 ciusins that live in the bay area. I love every one of them. BUT, can't stand any of them.

  • Great moment in Dodgers' history, but you guys are losers now. The Giants = WORLD CHAMPIONS! Nothing the boys in blue can do about it. Finally you assholes care about our rivalry now that we're champs!

  • @Edgehead10075

Egghead, what you wrote is why the bay area has the WORST fans on the planet. Instead of enjoying your first championship for the bay area, you write crap. When the Dodgers won it in 88 no dodger fan was thinking of the jiants. Oh by the way i loved that monkey in 2002. boy what a choke job your boys did that year.

  • Damn right, they choked in 2002, but it's all better now after last year. Just like in '88 when we had to choose between the lesser of two evils in that WS, you guys had to choose whom you hated less in 2002. Anyway, I'm glad that Dodgers' fans finally care about our rivalry, as evidenced by that poor Giants' fan getting beaten up by thugs at Dodger Stadium (although I'm not glad about the circumstances). You guys have ignored us for years.

  • @Edgehead10075 and you failed to make the playoffs the season afterwards. the trademark of a fluke season

  • Wrong, IDIOT. Every expert agrees that the Giants failed to make the playoffs because of their TONS of injuries this year, especially Buster Posey, yet they were still able to hang in there as long as they did because of great pitching. Had they been 100% healthy, there's no doubt in my mind that they would have repeated this year. Seriously, who would have beaten them? The Cardinals? Lol.

  • The Giants were 5-2 vs. the Cards this year, and their relief pitching would have OBVIOUSLY shut down the Cards the way the Rangers couldn't. The Giants will be back in the playoffs next year, and they will go deep into the playoffs, asshole. Your Dodgers will remain an unwatchable pile of dog shit. Haha, loser.

  • @Edgehead10075 if the Yankees didn't choke against the Rangers last year, their offense would have pummeled the Giants. See, I can make speculations too. Even if by some chance the Giants made the playoffs this year, they would have been promptly eliminated because they had no offense. It's an objective fact that their hitting was among the worst in the entire league.

  • You say that their offense would have pummeled the Giants, yet the Giants' pitching was shutting down every offense in the league.

Again, the Giants' offense was so horrible due to injuries. Without the injuries, their offense wouldn't have been great, but it would have been good enough to win, just like in 2010.

  • @Edgehead10075 And our "pile of dog shit" has both a Cy Young winner and a probable MVP. Would you like me to mention Kershaw's performances against the Giants all year? You are the reason no one outside of the bay likes bay area fans. All you do is talk shit, even after a mediocre year.

  • Kershaw is great. So what?

  • @Edgehead10075

Hey Egghead we have 5 rings in LA you have 1 ring in 54 yrs..... and by the way you are no longer champs you do have a new tradition, the worst offence after winning the world series in MLB history..Once again...the losers that we Dodger fans are use to seeing

  • Sorry, idiot, but what happened in New York counts. The Giants and Dodgers each have six rings. The Giants have won more pennants, though, which means that the Giants are the better franchise.

Get it through your head, moron. The Giants were plagued by injuries in 2011. It's as if 2011 doesn't really count. As far as I'm concerned, the Giants are still the defending champs as they weren't given the chance to defend this year. The Dodgers haven't done SHIT since 1988.

  • The Dodgers are just a bunch of pathetic losers.

"Worst offense after winning the World Series"? Well, at least we won a World Series, something your boys haven't done in over a generation, fucktard.

  • fuck yeah!

  • Surprised Jack Buck didn't yell, go crazy Los Angeles go crazy

  • If he said the Tigers have won the game then that was 1984 and Gibson was not a Dodger...

  • @InnocenceNotLost he said dodgers

  • 「The Home Run」1988
