I think you should make tutorials for BLS songs..it would really help, also some videos teching Zakk's style or some stuff upon scales...i like your style man it's pretty fucking rockin!!
i've watched a video on Gibsons web site I believe. Anyways, it kept going on about vintage tone and an old school sound and feel. Anyways, beautiful guitar, great playing, awesome video.
these guitars dont have any hollow points in them like the newer standards to reduce weight, and the customs have a longer neck tenons than todays standards, giving them more sustain
There really is, Go to a store plug them both in same settings and you will see. IT might be the strings but I suspect its more than that. I picked the 58 vos over both the 08 standard and 08 Custom. The 08 Custom was my 2nd choice. Sounds a bit hotter. The ease of playing made me pick the 58 that and the sound.
awsome picking dude! hey i got a question what guitar brand and body style most resembles the car christine you know like the horror film car please give you input. THANKS dimebag fan 101333
Holy shit, i thought this actually was zakk wylde till i looked at the comments. You're absolutly amazing! i loved the hillbilly thing at the end too that was real cool. keep it up man awsome!
The neck feels great to me but some people have problems with it, so better check it out first dude!
The R9 is exact the same axe as the R8 except the larger frets and flametop. Thanx for your interest, I wish you all the best with the axe of your choice! Keep Rockin'!!
Awesome playing! If you don't mind i'll bother you with a quick question...
Every time I solo I always seem to go back to some form of a pentatonic scale, I guess it's because of the first ones that I learned and I just know so many different riffs for it. I know alot of other scale formations, but I just can't shred them as good (well not really good at all) as the pentatonic. Any advice?
Hi, thanks a lot I really do appreciate and thanks for your interest!
Yeah it sure is because you grew up with pentatonic, so it feels more familiar to you.
I play regular major/minor scales with 3 notes per string patterns, which give me the same amount of notes per string. Scales: pentatonics with chromatic Stuff inbetween (gives a 3-notes feeling but with a bluesy sound).Regular major/minor scales, some apreggiated stuff. I use a mix of legato, alternate, sweep and chicken pickin'.ROCK ON!
damn man that was fkin sweet wish i could play that nice pickups and overall just nice guitar i like the effect you got goin the squeal sounded perfect man...but thats it ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guitar playing is great, guitar is, of course, GREAT, but get some analog sound in there. That digital crap sounds too cold. No offense intended at all, just an observation.
agree, hey man i saw your video on the wylde les paul, i have an esp sv standard, would you reccomend trading it for a gibson zakk wylde, i paid my esp around 2300 dollars (1800 euros) and there is a person next to my city selling his 2007 wylde les paul for 1800 euros (same price i bought my esp for, i want your advice because you look like smeone who knows his guitars, consider i play everything from blues to children of bodom, trivium, pantera, and stuff of my own.
Well the only thing I can tell you guys asking me that is: You have to check it out by yourself, because what works for me might or might NOT work for you, dude. All the best and keep rockin'!!
thanks, the only concrn i have is that i will have to give up the floyd rose, the easy access to the 24th fret and the looks, but damn! its a gibson les paul custom shop, barely used, for less than half the price
Damn, that board looks so dark, almost like ebony. Do you find the Custom's frets to be somewhat sharper than the 58's? Could you explain the difference in tonal qualities between the rosewood and the ebony? How long did you say you've been playing? Nice touch you've developed there. Build Those Chops!!
Hi there and thanx a lot for your interest, dude! Well, to be honest I never really cared about how dark fretboards are and I don't really care about fret or necksize, etc.. either.
I just play and get along pretty well with about anything..
If you want a darker fretboard just throw on some fretboard oil and you have it. With the VOS series you really feel the plek treatment, it feels very nice and smooth, great action!!
hey nice playing, a little out of my taste but nice. i just wanted to ask you what the feedback is like on that. i have a semi-hollow body now and it feeds back like crazy (to my dismay).
Hi, well you really rock for taking your time to post and writing me those kind words, dude!! I wish you all the very best, thanks again so much and KEEP ROCKIN'!!
i have a PRS custom 24 and i would say that PRS ALMOST can rock as hard as a les paul but it can also get a great blues and clean sound. PRS has a greater range of sounds but they both sound fantastic. i would prefer a PRS since they are much lighter and amazingly made and get an awesome rock sound.
!!Happy Birthday to Zakk!!..who cares about age, 41 or 141, Zakk is one of the greatest, ever! He always was and always will be! Glad you enjoy my playing dude,
