  • Excellent song. I used it in my video. Instills such a feeling. You don't have to love just a girl, but you can love friends, or family, or your home. It's just, great. Lovely.

  • Great Stuff.keep em coming :) Peace

  • Very impressively made! Gonna go check out the rest of your stuff now. :)

  • you really did a good job, it synced well. if i didnt know any better id think this was Pogo's =) you should be proud

  • @latag1993 The song actually is Pogo's, the video just isn't. ;-)

  • What iis the name of this movie??

  • Yo gold, Pogo's got a video editing comp going on for Oz, would love to see you give it a try = ]

    Bryant

    Reverse Enginears

  • sent this vid to my girl and she loved it! im betting there were tears in her eyes she watched it, but i wouldnt go that far. the fact that she loved it is enough.

  • very good job!!!

  • although the song is absolutely lovely, especially on a mid summer's day.. you, as a Pogo fan who TRIED to do a fan video should have actually matched the video with audio samples.

  • here i thought it was Carry On Cruising.

Absolutely wonderful, brought me to tears.

  • here i thought it was Carry On Teachers

  • @goldpikpikcarrots can i ask what program(s) you used? :)

  • @nerualyoyo XD well...this one I threw together using Windows Movie Maker, which explains why the video isn't always synched to the music. My other videos, however, I made using Vegas Movie Studio, which is definitely better.

  • Favorited! excellent job!

  • This song is possibly the cutest thing I have ever heard, the last line melts my heart :) So adorable :)

  • I love this song...my favorite Pogo song :)

  • beautiful

  • @PockyAndCoffee ?? this song is the one that Pogo/Fagottron made, and he never made a video for this song, so I just set the song to the movie that he sampled from. I don't know what other couple you mean....

  • slainly and pimpli <3

  • Ah ha. I can get on the 'x number of people didn't like video because...' bandwagon!

The one person so far prefers to stare at a still picture or black square instead of a video while listening to the soundtrack.

  • The conversation those two women had at the net reminded me of Parent Trap. So did her voice while he confessed his love.

  • Pretty awesome to see the connection between all pogo fans here. D!tto, Jeesh, Homestar...

I have loved Pogo ever since the beginning and I am really glad that other people share my love. (and that they have the extraordinary talent to create their own pogo-esque songs)

  • aww :)

  • good job

  • This is awesome! I was a little skeptical about some random person making a video for this song, but great job, I really like it!

  • I must confess, I was a bit unsure about a pogo fan video, seems a bit coals to newcastle, but nice work

  • I remember finding this song and falling in love in a second, Thank you so much.

  • I searched high and low for this movie just because of this track. <3

  • Really amazing editing, a fine tribute to a great song

  • Fantastic!

  • awwwsome !!! finaly i can see where the dialog is taken from,it's so sweet.thank you for this :)

  • rock out!

  • ahh i love it!

  • this song reminds me of my parents... such a sweet love song

  • Oh, God, finally. This has been playing in my head forever without anything nice except bits and pieces to accompany it in there, and now here comes something. You are marvelous.

  • Simply amazing. Well done! :-)

  • awesome dude, thanks!

  • SO DOPPEEEEE I FREAKIN LOVE ITTT

  • god, his head's so big.

  • Just one bass and beat line, and one movie and you've got this! Plain and simple!

  • @Crewwstube You mean, slainly and pimply! :D

  • one of my favorites. for sure.

  • the kids choir sample sounds like it could come from Oliver.. possibly..

  • This is AWESOME! Thank you for putting the right video to an incredible track.

  • This is one of my favourite songs by Pogo.

  • thank you for making this, I adored it

  • ha i always wondered where that audio was from

  • Thank you! I feel like you just found the last piece to a puzzle that I've been admiring for months.

  • From one Pogo fan to another, thank you! I have always liked this track and wondered where he got the dialogs from. So big thanks, and marvelous video editing!

  • Great job, goldpikpikcarrots! I tried making a fan-vid of this but wasn't happy with the end result. Very interesting to see how we used a lot of the same shots (esp the shots of the boat and the serenade scene).

  • OMG SO HAPPY. Been looking for this video since I heard this song! Thank you SOOO much!!

  • AWESOME!!! FINALLY THIS HAS A VIDEO!!!

  • Love the vid, nothing is wrong with it. however to really do pogos music justice I think tribute vids should also be clips or the random noises that are a milisec long.

And the repeating scenes. Advice to future pogo contributors.

Pogo is a Genius, all I do is listen to his music day and night now, nothing else.

I have a problem I know, cant help it.

  • Yeah, the problem with this song is no one knows where any of these songs came from. They don't come from Carry On Cruising, at any rate-- having watched the whole movie, none of that choir singing or anything else was a part of it. Makana did a great job sleuthing out the sounds when he edited Tunnels, though.

  • Thank you so much for making this, I have listened to that song dozen of times and its nice to finally see the source of the dialog finally. <3

  • Thanks so much for the video post -- this is so awesome!

  • Great work!

  • Fucking wonderful, thank you.

  • Thank you for doing this because I wonder what movie that came from.

  • DAVID! YOU ARE THE BOMB!

  • GO, Makana. *grins* It completely warms my heart and fills its reservoirs with squishy glee to know that there's someone else in this island of Hawai'i with as much love (if not more) of Pogo as myself. I'm kinda tuckered out from having just wrote 11 consecutive comments to Jeesh's Arrow through the Heart piece, but I'll try and make my comments meaningful here!

For one, the fact that you got ahold of the footage to this movie in such wonderful quality is definitely admirable in itself!

  • About a week after hearing the song, I watched the entire movie through and cracked up SO-HO hard. "Make a cake. A cake? A CAKE. An anniversary cake? ... A CAKE TO STAGGER HUMANITY." And you definitely did the movie's visuals justice. The shots you picked were just gorgeous-- and the dialogue segments (which, I agree, were probably the only things taken directly from the film) were perfectly synchronized, except the last, like, 10 or so seconds at the end of Flo and Arthur's exchange.

  • The only things I really think should've been changed about this fan video itself, since I'm certain it's quite nearly impossible to find the sources from which the other musical tidbits originated, is a couple of the scene choices. I don't think that crazy affair between Crowthers and Flo or the ploy of Marjoribanks and Gladis really should be in this musical abridgement of the heart of the film.

  • The segments with Arthur looking longingly at Flo and the birds-eye view footage of the cruise liner is all gorgeous, though. And great thinking using the Bella Flo scene into the singing and guitar segments in this song. The real point of this song itself is the bring out the sentimentality of the movie-- the hopeless romanticism and such! So I'd say keep all the clips on that central theme-- or else they're just a lil' randomly chosen, like some run-of-the-mill AMV.

  • Not to say they didn't look great in this case-- it just doesn't quite work directly with the song! So, with that, you are 5'd and subscribe'd-- can't wait to see further vide'ros from your side of the island! I'm trying to get enough of my friends together to film a FAN VIDEO for this, actually- as I have some... pretty interesting ideas for visuals for this dag'nabbit Pogomix.

  • Also, if you haven't seen yet-- as I have a feeling you haven't, a couple of MY videos are tributes to Pogo! The one I think you'd be most interested in is my Is It You? video, which, like Jeesh's, is original. There's also my UPular dance, and one of the segments in my North Fan-Forum video! Surely do hope joo' enjoy, monsieur Makana!

  • great work! I love this song and have been looking for the source to do my own version, you have done a good job!
