  • the fact that this tragedy happens in such a civilized and educated society in Europe shows that no one's forever spared from the monstrous reality of war. It could very much happen to me or you in the future, nobody knows. One can only hope that humanity of different races could finally realize the need to respect each other and coexist peacefully in the world we all share.

  • How can this shit happen in the 20TH century????? IT DOESN'T EVEN SEEM POSSIBLE...........IT'S A SIN. GOD HELP US!

  • Has anyone ever paid any prices for these atrocities?

  • @DannyFDNY

    no

  • @DannyFDNY

    karadzic is under trial.

  • thats sad

  • Whats a

real definition of war? when 2 armies attack eachother? what is called when an serbian army bombard a city full of civilians....also war?

  • The behaviour and "reactions" of all the so-called superpowers and "civilised" countries is a slap in the face for the people there.

But complaining won't bring one much further: Right now different people in different places (almost) all over the planet share the same "fate" like the people in the video. Call it Africa. Call it Asia. Call it Europe. All the same, right now.

I opet cu doci.

  • I want to express how much I will never forget what occurred in Sarajevo. I prayed for everyone there during the tragedy, and continue to pray for the country as it regains its previous standing. I look forward to Sarajevo once again serving as host of the Olympics!

  • were u there, if not thanks

  • djpedy - Thats why they take it JUST from Sarajevos side. Becuse Sarajevo i all sides. It's all the sides together. Every side live in sarajevo and every side suffered just as much.. Belive me I know.

  • Fantastic, incredibly powerful. Well done.

  • unbelivble :(

  • I went back this past summer and I saw that market. I couldn't believe that I was looking at a place where once dead bleeding bodies layed.

  • I went back to bosnia this past summer and I saw that market. I couldn't believe that I was standing in a place where so many innocent people were killed. It made me wonder "what if another bomb fell out of no where?"

  • toto legenda!

  • Ulica se zvala Hajduk Veljkova, danas se zove Muse Cazima Catica.

  • what about millions of serbs killed through the first and second world wars in concentration camps, didnt they have familys and children too? its funny how no one ever talks about that yet they talk about 12,000 killed and wounded people in sarajevo from a WAR! last time i checked it was a war people from all sides died.

  • this is a story just about the sarajevo point of view, they should make documentarys showing how the whole country got effected not just 1 side.

  • what do the dead serbs in WW2 have to do with the sarajevans that died this past war? yes, their story is terrible, too. there are plenty of documentaries about jasenovac and other crimes committed by fascists during WW2. this documentary is not against serbs, it simply portrays life in sarajevo during the war!

  • Hey thx for posting these vids. Brings back some bad memories for me. I was in 88 in Sarajevo and lived through this mayhem. Lived in Ilidza then Dobrinja and finally in Sarajevo until I moved to the US in 97. It was hell! But at the same time I can remember the good times, yes there were some of those believe it or not, that I had. I am just glad I was lucky enough to survive the massacre cause it wasnt even a war. RIP to all the ppl lost in the senseless violence.

  • shells on inoccent ppl on kids, womens and old ones....this is the biggest shame for serbian solders..such a brave...rly sad....

  • thank you for posting this vids..at least we can see how ppl sufered in war time...but we will never understand their pain...i hope this will never happened again to anybody...

  • This war between peoples of the same nation,. Only for being of different religions with the same God,. Within Europe continents considered one of the most civilized of the world. , That is an affront to human race

  • Look what our friend's, family, and some of us, had to live thru.. 43 months!

I feel so bad for the kids that had to live thru the pain.

I hope god pays back all the people who caused this suffering!

    Jebem vam cetnicku mater!

  • Sarajevo shall rise again

  • Thank you for posting this, a great insight into how life was during those terrible times.

Its hard to beleive how a situation like this could have ever happened.

I would like to think we will never see such scenes again, lets hope so.

  • Thank you for that, much appreciated! Yes, one should always live in hope.
