these transcriptions definitely aren't Liszt's most original, creative works. Works like Sonata in B minor, Transcendental Etudes, really show Liszt's genius.
I really like your interpretation, really. It is the best one in youtube, i think. You have your own personality, you have perfect technique, and the most important, you have music! I can feel your love through these wonderful notes! Definitely, you fingers are singing. Enjoyable, well done!
i agree, too. volodos' is the best, but i think this one is more toward to the original piece, sounding more romantic; volodos' has a allegro and strong ending.
i also find volodos much more interesting and i think his style is better suited to a piece of this sort than adam's. but it should be pointed out that adam and volodos play extremely different versions of the piece --- volodos plays a souped-up horowitz/volodos version of liszt's arrangement, whereas adam plays pretty much what liszt wrote. but all this is just splitting hairs --- both pianist are really excellent.
Does anyone have horowitz transcription of wedding march? Could you please send me the copy? Write me a comment in my youtube page if you have it. Thank you, I appreciate it.
i really like the playing but why the overhead to show your fingers?? it seems like a concert or something like that and i think the audiences are only meant to look at you, not the screen, and listen.
ok its not the Horowitz version but its not the Liszt version either; I played the Liszt version. The fragments are very similar but its different nevertheless
This is definitely the Liszt version and not Horowitz's version. Although I haven't seen the scores for either version, from what I can tell the Liszt version is more challenging than the Horowitz.
oh, how I want to marry him :D

are you saying this is Liszt's best piece/transcription? Ha...
chopinandliszt 2 years ago
I would not say that one particular piece is Liszt's "best" one, because you cannot rate music that way...
I only wanted to say that this is a sophisticated series of variations, and a nice piece overall...
