i mean obviously its some form of tradition. i think as americans we tend to think with closed minds about traditions and respecting where you come from, your ancestry ya know? people in america who pierce, tattoo and modify their bodies sometimes do it for attention or some form of self-indulgance..others just for hobby..but thats not the point, my point is tattoos, piercings and body modification was originally tradition. not taboo.
