@rcQup5, depends on the player really.. right now i'de give a slight edge to an average vs average mage to frost..but if you look up this fire mages videos, i believe his youtube name is, firemagerygury or somethin like that.. he's probably the most insane mage i've seen yet..he does a 1v5 in one of his vids (even though older..before cata) but nonetheless impressive

If you cast Scorch you made more DPS and made more pushback to other player, if you are frozen cast cast Blink, frost mage made lower dmg to you if you aren't frozen.

Fire mages are better in all ways. Frost is WEAK dmg. Fire has DoTs much more "burst" dmg and it is way better. Pvp- and leveling

That Fire Mage would have won if he wasn't such a nub. He only used like 3 spells and tryed to spam them L_L and after he uses Dragon's Breath he sits and does nothing instead of attacking. Also the fire mage was doing little damage so he probably barely had any spell power and the Frost Mage was doing a lot of damage so he prolly had a lot of spell power.

both of u guys dont know much of mage vs mage, anyway gotta say if it comes to mages duels, a lot depends if u fake casts, lucky crits and stealing.. burst fire>frost, defense frost>fire, found out if u focus on defensing and u alive his most powerful spells as frost specced, a lot happens to me to make the fire mage go oom.. but u mostly need an ice block to make it thru
