A group of kids in our church did a hand/black light performance to this song. It was really cool because you could only see their hands (which had white gloves, they were dressed in black) And the hands did motions for everything. They made shapes and formed the letters 'U' 'S' 'A' when the song says "United States of America."

I played this song on my ipod the whole time we were going through Bethlehem back in March of 2010. We were able to get permission to go there by the Palastinians since its in their control. It was quite a day. After that, we went to Jericho and the hills where David wrote the Psalm 23. It really is a dangerous area. One of our buses broke down and we were vulnerable to the robbers and the Muslims who hate Americans. Please don't take offense to that because even the locals told us this.

I was looking through my copy of the book Lifestories by Mark Hall, when I saw "While You Were Sleeping" in one of the chapters. (The way the book is set up he pretty much just tells the story behind every song...)
