Why is Kone so difficult to pronounce for Americans? It's neither Conay or Cone. It's "Konne".

When a slash is over the "e" the "e" is pronounced "ay"

or like when the letter "A" is called by it's name opposed to it's sound when pronounced in words such as cat, fat, hat, or that.

PART II

Your spelling of the way it should be pronounced does not help, it only shows me that it is pronounced as "Cone" is it pronounced "con" but when the "e" is as the end of a word than the vowel before the it is pronounced by saying the name of the word. In other words, the "O" says it's name (oh) and not it's sound which would be "ah".

hey when powers go outs on traction elevators, what do they do ? do they shut down like hydraulic elevators ?

Well, they all stop. Then, they go to the lobby one by one, open its doors, and shut down. Once that is done, one elevator gets reactivated on emergency power. Once that runs out, the car stops at a floor, opens its doors, and shuts down.

Also, the elevators are required to be inspected after every brackdown, and when there new.

There is also ThyssenKrupp(or KONE, i forgot) Twin, which has two cars sychronized in the same shaft. BTW, it's KONAY, not cone!

Actually, there are 3 types of hydraulic elevators: Holed Hydraulic, Holess Hydraulic, and Roped Hydraulic.

a thing about elevator certificates in sc if it hasnt been inspected within 6 months and looks like its in bad condition its probally shakey and rough riding we call these "deathtraps" due to them feeling like they are going to break down or get you thinking it might do something really bad so check it if you have doubts about riding it check the documentation in the car
