We've been to Assateague a bunch but it is definitely shallow. If you stay between the verazano bridge (bridge leading to assateague) and the inlet its usually a little better. You can find a few beaches to park at on the assateague side. You can launch right before the bridge or a better spot would be the marina by the inlet. Just hang a right when you see the inlet, thats the bay behind assateague.
Thanks for the video. Have you tried behind Assateague? Last year we encountered a lot of sea grasses there that really hung us up, using Hobie Sport and Outback kayaks, and have been wondering how our TI would handle them.
Looks like Isle of Wight Bay, south of the Rt 90 bridges. I'm out of 48th St. O.C. each weekend during the summer with my TI ... hope to see you
