@samuelrosenbalm The funny thing is, on their website they are acting like that is really something!
"Up to 5x faster standard graphics!", they brag. "All-new high-performance graphics cards from AMD make Mac Pro graphics technology up to 5 times faster than ever before!"
Get a load of this one...
"For even more graphics horsepower, upgrade to the ATI Radeon HD 5870 with 1GB of GDDR5 memory. An ideal choice for the most demanding applications..."
its absolutely ridiculous how many people make fun of/praise his death. If you don't like apple products, then don't buy them. No one forced you to. Shut up and stop acting like children.
pc world took its hit from touch technology, now it will be hit by cloud gaming, like onlive which doesnt require any hardware to run, so why get an expencive hardware pc when you can play high end games on a laptop or touchscreen device?
@MrNoobidoobidoo its not that its too expensive, you pay for what you get with apple. if you spend £500 on a mobile phone your getting a great phone.. if you spend £200 on a mobile phone your going to get cheap crap... apple charges a fair price for their products... they could charge a lot more if they wanted, and people would still buy the products:)
@MyNameIsFarToLong no way they charge so much because of their brand image. They prey on the naive, like people who have no idea about computer specifications and buy a product because it looks smart. Evil but genius
@Eli3459 so your saying that there isn't much difference Between an iPhone 4S and a cheap £200 phone? I can see where your coming from, a little bit, but Apple products are very good and they look even better:)
The difference is huge. I own a 4s and was about to buy an android phone. Now that I have an iphone and can compare it side by side with my gf's xperia - the iphone is leaps and bounds better. The screen, the OS, sensitivity of the touch screen, ease of use (it's a hassle to browse the internet on her phone), less crashing apps, the appstore ("ecosystem" of the ios), well thought out design.
It actually is better... on the phone side of things, apple rules the roost.
I'd say that it's the other way around. Samsung and all those asian companies are cranking out new phones and just slap on a new faster processor to prey on the people who stare themselves blind on performance numbers. Try getting a software upgrade or any kind of bug support from them after 6 months - they've already moved on with their new phones and your shit out of luck. My friends HTC still can't write ÅÄÖ - 1 year after the nordic release.
2:11 "I don't want to see us descend into a nation of bloggers myself"
I see nothing wrong with bloggers. In fact its much better to be able to spread news amongst ourself then having some editor choose which news story is most important and how it effects his/her funding and sponsorship.
That is exactly the problem with mainstream media today. They won't report on news that is important if it does not make them any profit or effects their sponsorship. Bloggers are free of this problem.
@JesusChristisMuslim If you're so intelligent and educated on such matters, you should know that Buddhists don't believe in hell. Therefore he will go wherever his beliefs on life after death take him for instance if he was Buddhist he will be reincarnated or have reached eternal happiness. Also, I highly doubt he condoned child labour however if his work supported it you might want to take it up with the Chinese government and their policies on the matter.
Please visit my channel for the unpopular truth about homosexuality.
A person does not need hatred or any kind of phobia in order to acknowledge important differences between heterosexuality and homosexuality. Even non-religious people know this.
The homosexual agenda is not good for anyone, including those who consider themselves "gay".

i dont quite agree with him on the empowerment of traditional media outlet, new york times, WSJ, etc. over gimping the freedom of speech and nation turning into "bloggers" I mean a lot of the news outlet are controlled by special interests group and what we get on the news isn't always in our best interests.

@rockstar4mahe Where the hell did you get those numbers? 1998? Mac is hovering somewhere around 7-11% in total PC usage, last time I checked. Of that pie, 70% of ALL computer usage is for business/corporations, which is mainly a Windows based market.
Of consumer/end-user usage, OSX is at around 25%. Meaning 1/4 of all people using a PC for personal use, are running a Mac. Not this random 3% you made up.

Haha bullshit. Seems like he is avoiding the question. He just wants to sell iPads. Does he really think PCs are going to dwindle out? Because I really dont. People including me, are always goin to want their workspace. Their big harddrive, and their keyboard, and their big screen.
@FreshNapp come on dude. this man invented 2 classifications of product that, before they were introduced, people had said would be stupid, expensive and pointless. yo gave no idea how tablets will develop in future and I'm sure neither did Steve but i'm inclined to give more credit to the creator of modern computing than some random youtube guy
@FreshNapp He never said they will dwindle. He openly commented that PC's will not be used as traditional devices to do ALL your work on because a tablet can become a much better form factor for it. So, desktop and laptop computers will be used less, and frankly, I'd LOVE to see less of them around.
Oh damn i KNEW IT. Honestly, cmon, Apple is capable of making better products than they do. They release them in icriments though so they can be perceived as a company that keeps improving. They jsut release an inferior product at first. iPad would not have been as big a hit if iPhone didnt exist. Im sure he analyzed this and knew this. They knew there needed to be a certain order. Its called planning.
He was one of the few people in the industry to understand the incredibly simple fact that user interaction is everything. The specs mean nothing if the device is impossible to live with - whether that be from its UI or from something as superficial as its appearance. Apple products are works of art as much as they are tech devices.
Whatever your opinion is of the man, no one can deny his impact on the tech industry. He was a true visionary.
@mazhacker9911 The first one is obviously not true (science and evolution), the second might not be true (the apple part) but the third is certainly true.
@zelda1russell No, I meant that is, in all likeliness, exaggeration. Of course I know about Newton and gravity and the story about how he figured it out when an apple hit his head. But I figured thats probably not true.
Really, Newton once said that he thought of the idea when he saw apples falling. But it has later been twisted into the much nicer and cooler story of him sitting under an apple tree, getting hit on the head and yelling out "I got it!" or something. Thats not exactly true.
He seemed prophetic, but I think he just understood the market and people better than anybody Barely a year after the iPad debuted Hewlett Packard (H flipping P!) pulls out of the PC market because the iPad has killed their market share. iOS devises now account for the majority of all kinds of statistics: most pictures on flickr are taken with iPhones, most mobile Internet browsing is done on iPads, most Netflix streaming ... The list goes on. And Steve knew. Which is exactly why he created th
Steve Jobs is an elitist, He doesn't want just a bunch of bloggers, but more editorials? Save the NY Times? Get real! They and all the other newspapers did it to themselves by explioting people for years with propolitical articles instead of sticking to real journalism. The real danger is regulating bloggers and making it too expensive to blog on the internet to save a few corporate propaganda outlets. Before there were many outlets, now it's a monopoly, now they have more bad reporters.
I honestly don't know how much 'news' is actually necessary. There's a glut, much of it now has a clear bias, either politically or purely as entertainment or fear mongering, and it seems like it's become an addiction for people since 9/11. They get the same dopamine release from being 'informed' as you would from a cigarette or a tub of ice cream. Very little of it has an actual effect on your daily life, especially when it's the news 'fear of the minute' that comes and goes like the wind.
@WoodsUlmann Couldn't agree with you more. This is how these news companies make money. They suck you in by blowing a story way out of proportion and sturring up your emotions. It's hard to tell what's fact from fiction in the press nowadays. Sad thing is, I don't see that changing any time soon.
I'll stick with PC's as far as computers go. But when it comes to phones, the iphone will win every time. Ipad? Nah, I'll go with a net book or full size laptop.
@VenVile Most of what Apple sells has been reasonably priced. Just like Sony Vaio. It's more expensive, sure, but you get what you pay for. Most people don't get this, but most laptop and desktop vendors are selling at super low profit margins to compete because they don't have unique software like Apple does. Sometimes, they even sell at a loss just to try to gain your consumer loyalty to try to hit you with poor service and sales pitches later in the relationship. Sucks to be them.
steve job has 3 billion more dollars than the U.S government($76bil). Apple is not legally allow to have this money with putting some back into the sys, and all the jobs in china. Buying this shit it fucking up the economy, send money out of the country. This guy could buy most the water supply and sell back to you 4oz $599 8oz $999 and 16oz(bad ass lots of space) $1,799 and coming soon s.e 20oz with lighting fast poptop for quick access $2,599(only the coolest i mean hotest drink this water)
@aStrayforMyTime And where are those facts coming from? Even if Apple wanted to do that, they'd obviously fail at it. Apple fans may be willing to pay a little more for what Apple does, but they're not fucktards like the one you're making yourself out to be. Never said you were one, just saying you sound like one.
obviously. apple will never be the same .

@Hamhark98 You don't know about Issac newton's theory about gravity because of an apple falling on his head? wut?
zelda1russell 4 months ago

WoodsUlmann 5 months ago
@WoodsUlmann Couldn't agree with you more. This is how these news companies make money. They suck you in by blowing a story way out of proportion and sturring up your emotions. It's hard to tell what's fact from fiction in the press nowadays. Sad thing is, I don't see that changing any time soon.

OMG! Steve Jobs is talking about reasonable pricing. I wonder why he won't take his own advice?
VenVile 6 months ago
@VenVile Most of what Apple sells has been reasonably priced. Just like Sony Vaio. It's more expensive, sure, but you get what you pay for. Most people don't get this, but most laptop and desktop vendors are selling at super low profit margins to compete because they don't have unique software like Apple does. Sometimes, they even sell at a loss just to try to gain your consumer loyalty to try to hit you with poor service and sales pitches later in the relationship. Sucks to be them.
Rifalltoo 1 month ago
steve job has 3 billion more dollars than the U.S government($76bil). Apple is not legally allow to have this money with putting some back into the sys, and all the jobs in china. Buying this shit it fucking up the economy, send money out of the country. This guy could buy most the water supply and sell back to you 4oz $599 8oz $999 and 16oz(bad ass lots of space) $1,799 and coming soon s.e 20oz with lighting fast poptop for quick access $2,599(only the coolest i mean hotest drink this water)
aStrayforMyTime 6 months ago
@aStrayforMyTime And where are those facts coming from? Even if Apple wanted to do that, they'd obviously fail at it. Apple fans may be willing to pay a little more for what Apple does, but they're not fucktards like the one you're making yourself out to be. Never said you were one, just saying you sound like one.
