Has anyone else noticed there are no fireworks, light shows, dancers or big screens during this whole performance? Do you think ANYONE there left saying...."I couldn't see anything. I just wish it was more entertaining."
Led Zeppelin is the best because rock musicians and fans say to themselves "Yes, this is who I want to be!"; more than they do any other rock band in history. After watching this performance, I'm right with 'em.
Disc 1 of the 2-disc DVD titled "Led Zeppelin" (with the desert picture) has this 1970 Royal Albert Hall concert on it & it's especially awesome on a bigger screen. These guys on their worst days were better than so many others, but this one was real tight. I think they are the greatest hard rocking band of the 20th century, but then they also have beautiful songs like "The Rain Song", "Thank You", etc. Bonham's over 10 min solos...incredible!
and still i get shocked and awed of ther greatness they are INSANE maddness gods!!! and i so hope that my generation learn that good music comes with soul feeling and creativity and not money stealing other ones riffs and teksts or slutty dancers AMEN TO LED ZEPPELIN THE BEST THER WILL EVER BE

@psirou I admit Hendrix is the best guitar PLAYER of all time. But it takes more than just playing to be a complete guitarist. Page is a 10 times better writer, composer, producer, arranger etc. One of the reasons why the music of Zeppelin will live on forever while the best of Hendrix will just keep getting more dated. Hendrix could play, but Page can do everthing!
I don't like those debates as to who was better - as I absolutely love Page and Led Zeppelin, but to say that Page was better than Hendrix on each of those aspects - writing, composing, producing..
You are just being biased. To affirm that Page is 10 times better just proves that either you've not listened to Hendrix, or you are just a stubborn fan, wanting to one-up someone else with a game ofmy daddy's better than yours.

I watch this performance all the time, because it's fun, but they fuck up a lot. Listen to any live versions of Red House or Hear My Train a Comin' and they're master compositions. And most of the music is improvised. Page was a better riff writer. That's all. Hendrix, Page and then Clapton.
The raw sound of the music from this band never ceases to amaze me! So lucky having their music as a teenager.I'm still smiling!
