bis gestern hab ich auch immer geglaubt, dass es Mick Jaegger singt. Wirklich ungewöhnliche Ähnlichkeit. Die Stones haben ja auch einen Song der "Its all over now" heisst.
@TheFishtrap I'm tempted to think that way, too, but he's been trying to tell us all along to go deep, deep within and place your values and hopes in yourself. That's all he does, that's all Christ did. God is not outside yourself. Van wants us all to go within. Find value there, find God there.
Van Morrison's voice has a depth, roundness, and quality that Jagger could not hope to imitate. Jagger's voice is to Morrison's voice what Charlie Theron's 28 y.o. body was to Brigitte Bardot's 28 y.o. body.
@AlphaCatholic That quality is called Spirit. Van sang "I ain't nothin' but a stranger in this world..got a home on high". Ever heard Jagger sing something like that?
Yes everyone, it does sound like Mick Jagger. If you listen to much Morison though, its unmistakably him. The reason they sound similar though is because, essentially, they're both British people imitating their african american musical heroes.
I think that's as deep a comparison as one ever needs to make between them though. lol.
Best version ever of Dylans Baby Blue and yes, it is in the singing art of Jagger the great. Cant get this song out of my mind - it has to be playd at my funeral, when the days os coming. -
this is driving me crazy i got a song stuck in my head that has the opening bass riff and i cant figure it out. i can only remember the words pretty baby... driving me crazy
