I have trouble swallowing my medicines. I have had to start putting them in sugar free puddings in order to get them down. This problem has gotten worse over the last couple of years. I have had a lot of mobility problems although Ampyra has helped me in that regard. I also have coughing spells quite often. Would love to talk to someone more about this. Whether they were a medical professional or a patient.
I've always had trouble swallowing mostly dry kind of foods. If the food has no lubrication, I choke. Problem is, I don't do the coughing it up kind of choke, but the silent one that she described in the video. As I live alone, I always make sure to finish what I'm eating when I've got my carers here, but sometimes it's hard to let them know I'm choking if they're in another room. It can be quite scary!! Especially lately, I have virtually no saliva!! Makes it really hard to swallow now.
Very confusing...pictures and demos would help.
