Yeah, I thought it was fake, keylogger, another dumb private server etc. But the time has come. They are really remaking RS2006. Look for "RS2006REMAKE" on Youtube and look for the vids. They're almost finished. 50k registered users. The game will be up in a week or 2 (from what I've heard). Please register to get the nostalgic feelings back! Ive been listening to the other old songs, but the second this started playing i started to cry. I spent so many hours at karajama, fishing for lobbies and talking to the amazing people there. After I got members I still went to f2p world to fish, because the people were much more talkative. I got 99 fishing december 22, 2009 nearly 4 years after those first lobsters at karajama. I enjoyed every second of it :D

5 years ago, i was a level 3 adventurer clicking on "create a new character". Going through tutorial island, i encountered how to fish, cook, fight, i learned about friends and ignorances, i learned how to shoot a ball of air out of my hands (which amazed me), afterwards, i am in lumby, i see someone "armor trimming free!", i turn left and see the al kharid gate, i spend about 5 minutes killing goblins for the money.. now im level 134 with 1b+.. i was happier with 30gp and my bronze shortsword
i remember i fished on karajma for lobbies as a ftp i was there for like 3 months in a row i believe running back and forth banking lobbies then selling them for 300gp each :( jagex bring back old rs 2 !!!!!!

I remember my group of 3 friends that I would play with everyday, grinding levels, coming up with strategies, and exploring like hell.
I remember the day I first became a member. It was during spring break, I was at my mom's work on her laptop, when she finally gave in. I ran to the first member only place I could think of, the area near Fally.
Even typing this, I feel sad that I lost contact with one friend, hate one, and barely talk to the last.
I miss when the homepage and log-in screen looked like that. Now it's got these generic characters all over it, it's just boring. It's a shame RuneScape has changed and we can't go back to how it used to be, like we can with other games. Ah well, memories. I don't regret the time I spent playng this game, even though it's probably what ruined my eyesight..

Man......2005-2006.....Fishing lobbies in Karamja....making around 40k a bag. That was A LOT! Fishing lobbies was all I did, lmfao. I'll never forget getting a Blue H'ween mask in a Fally drop party (12m at the time) and I said "time to go fish more lobbies! :D". I'll never forget the good old memories I still have of this game....
Jagex should make all the runescapes graphics like the old one that people liked in 2006/2007 or the 2008 one with the graphical update but now rs just looks like crap. and why do they put the first rs playable but not all this?

It's not because of Free Trade. The problem is far worse than in 2007. Jagex have changed, they are doing almost nothing to stop the bots. 50% of players are botting, many of them mains going for 99s. I stuck with this game when it forever began to change for the worse in late 2007, but 2011 is truly the beginning of the end for RuneScape.
Quit BotScape, and join RS2-Remake! Every minute you play on BotScape is a waste, bots will out level you no matter how hard you try.
They have recently put up the alpha version so it's still really buggy but they are working on it really hard and it will turn out great. eventually it will be an exact replica of how runescape was up to 2007 before the shitty updates. :) Plus, you get to do member skills for free! :D

I remember listening to this song for hours and hours everyday when i was f2p, i was fishing lobbies so i could by the infamous full guthix armor and i was so determined i fished at least 5-6k lobbies a day all f2p, good times man.
The best part i loved about being a noob in Runescape was not having a single clue of where you were. When you happened to be in a non hazardous area you enjoyed yourself by exploring it.

Runescape was good when:
There were less bots
True free trade existed ( meaning no price difference meter on the trade screen )
Scaming was around ( made the game more risky and fun )
When Rune items were pro and expensive
When the GE wasnt there
When 90% of the community was active, having drop parties, going down into wierd basements to have a party sending some guys to go get beer.

It's not because of Free Trade. The problem is far worse than in 2007. Jagex have changed, they are doing almost nothing to stop the bots. 50% of players are botting, many of them mains going for 99s. I stuck with this game when it forever began to change for the worse in late 2007, but 2011 is truly the beginning of the end for RuneScape.
Quit BotScape, and join RS2-Remake! Every minute you play on BotScape is a waste, bots will out level you no matter how hard you try.

They have recently put up the alpha version so it's still really buggy but they are working on it really hard and it will turn out great. eventually it will be an exact replica of how runescape was up to 2007 before the shitty updates. :) Plus, you get to do member skills for free! :D

I remember listening to this song for hours and hours everyday when i was f2p, i was fishing lobbies so i could by the infamous full guthix armor and i was so determined i fished at least 5-6k lobbies a day all f2p, good times man.

The best part i loved about being a noob in Runescape was not having a single clue of where you were. When you happened to be in a non hazardous area you enjoyed yourself by exploring it.
The map in todays Runescape is to easy to find ;)
