The first law of thermodynamics takes out the idea it created itself, as matter and energy cannot be created nor destroyed, and the second law takes out idea #2. The universe is winding down, as energy is becoming less and less useful. The universe is heading toward "heat death." So, an eternal universe is out. All other theories (multi-verses, string, oscillating universe) lack one thing...one shred of scientific proof. So, where does that leave ya?

The most common INTERPRETATION by science as to the beginning of the universe shows that all matter existed in a small area that violently exploded (and is still going) into what we see today. Time will only tell if it stops expanding and shrinks again then explodes etc

Second, even if all that we know suddenly came to be, a lack of an explanation is not causality for God. You attribute it to god, because you have no better explanation.
